Emblem removal procedure
Any experience removing the carbon flash on the hood and also removing the letters off the back and flag on the front without damaging and reusing them?
Going to install dual racing stripes but they recommend all emblems first. I also have to remove the Carbon Flash on the hood ($500 down the drain there).
Should look like this when done.

Probably will has to replace the emblems. Remove with fishing line (check YouTube). As for the decal, someone Heat, patience should do the trick. Remove the residue with some goo gone.

I used heavy monofilament fishing line to remove some emblems off of my Silverado, I am sure the same would apply here, it cuts through the adhesive ( heating the area with a hair dryer helps soften the adhesive )

This stuff is great for cleaning up adhesive after the fishing line. Great for general cleaning of tar/bugs too. Will not harm finish.

Easy peasy, fist mode I made on the car. I used a hair dryer and fishing line. Cleaned up the residue with 3M adhesive cleaner. Replaced all with Carbon Flash emblems in less than an hour. My detailer then removed the front badge again when he installed PPF on the hood. Then it was re-applied over the PPF.

Thanks for the recommendation on the adhesive removal product. I've used Goo Gone and even WD-40 before, but the 3M stuff sounds like a good product too.
