Default 2/24/19 Rare color combo/Corvette pics(Lots)/stories/Barn Finds*Mike Furman@Criswell

~ 4 Full Corvette truckloads arrived this week and they couldn't have come soon enough. Each month I probably deliver New and Used Corvettes to at least 15-20
different States Nationwide. Most folks that are within 500-700 miles of Criswell usually just drive in and take delivery from me in Maryland but I have had folks fly in from San Francisco
and drive their new Corvette home!
It's interesting when some people weigh the fun factor of doing a Museum delivery in Bowling Green, KY vs the experience that I give when coming to see me at the Dealership. I'd say that's a
big compliment being compared to the Museum delivery program. This whole 1st Qtr of 2019 I also have Corvettes and Camaro's being drop shipped for Courtesy delivery
all over the US of A. Call my desk direct line 301-212-4420 or email mfurman@criswellauto.com if you'd like to know more about the different ways to buy your next Corvette.
Check out my Corvette dedicated web site www.corvettefurman.com "I deal in high volume...not high profit" I am now in my 41st year selling Corvettes.

~Roll Call for Ron Fellows Spring Mountain Race Track in Pahrump, Nevada. "These classes are open to all Corvette enthusiasts!"
I will be attending the following Corvette Owner school classes.
  • March 9th-13th (ZR1) Sold out
  • July 19th-23rd (3 classes)
  • October (TBA) (1 class)
The Corvette owner school on July 21st-22nd is the Corvette class I will be in. There is also a Corvette owner school on July 20th/21st and July 22nd/23rd. I plan on doing a couple of dinners at The Clubhouse with all three Corvette owner schools and spend time with as many Corvette owners as possible. *Schedule during the Summer and there is an extra $300 value. ~October…no date confirmed yet but I usually plan on the very first days of October for the Corvette owners school.
*** Call Melinda or Donna for all questions and reservations. 800-391-6891 https://www.springmountainmotorsports.com/

~ I picked out two classic color combos to share this week for my delivery post.

~Helmer and Gail P. Of Sharpsburg, MD stopped by 6 weeks ago looking to buy their first new Corvette. Helmer had been talking about it for Decades and now was the time. Things worked out where we felt placing a factory order would be best in this case. Helmer wanted a 2019 Stingray Cpe in Shadow Gray Metallic with Adrenaline Red Seats, 1LT Pkg and 7 spd manual transmission. They couldn’t be more pleased how everything turned out...*Gail showed me a picture of her 1971 VW Bug that she ordered brand new and still owns!
Even has the 1971 Maryland license plates still on!
This is one great Color combo, Shadow Gray with Adrenaline Red.

~The next 2019 Corvette Convt delivery was ordered by a local businessman...This is one color combo I had never seen but it really looks good in person.
Torch Red paint with Adrenaline Red interior and Red top.

~I know George Barris built this gifted Corvette for Farrah Fawcett...I just wish I had been the salesperson to go over the car with her. I would have liked to have met her
and seen this Barris Custom Corvette. I heard this Corvette came up for auction in the last few years but it had seen better days.

~This is a picture of the very first Callaway Corvette that Malcolm Konner Chevrolet of Paramus, NJ ever sold and delivered. Circa 1987.

...and pictured above is 1 of the 50 Malcolm Konner Commemorative Edition Corvettes produced in 1986...with BBS wheels.

~The Frank Class Corvette Barn Find and throwback section...for those of you that don't know the story behind Frank. He bought his first brand new Corvette
in 1957...and owned 50 new Corvettes over the years. Every year that I knew him he would buy a new Corvette each Spring from me. I would usually get a phone
call after the new year and he'd say "I need to buy my last Corvette" and I would say to him that you have said that every year for the last 5 years! We would make a plan
and I'd give him a sight unseen trade value. The rest is history. Frank would always comment about my Sunday delivery posts on Monday, he would tell me which old Corvette picture he liked
best! I received a phone call from his daughter a few years back that Frank had passed and she needed assistance with his collection. So ever since then I have dedicated
my Corvette Barn Find section to Mr Frank Class of Harrisburg, PA. A true friend to all.

So when I ask all to post up which picture is your favorite....a tip of the cap to Frank please...a fellow Corvette enthusiast.

Find the Corvette in the old pic above...

See the C3 parked next to Ted Bundy's VW in the pic above.

Have a great week!

I like the pictures of Gold Corvettes and this week you had many. All of them were beautiful and I am unable to pick a favorite.
My first Corvette was Gold. A 1985 two tone, Gold and Black that I put 125,000 miles on the odometer.
I wish Chevrolet made Gold Corvettes now. I would trade my 2019 Grand Sport in a minute for a Gold one.

Liked the white c1 with the double all glass top.

That torch red vert with the red top at first glance I didn’t like but the more I looked at it the more I liked it.

Thx as usual.

I too would like a Gold colored Corvette be available in the future.

Your 1985 Gold Corvette was a beauty. Great back story...back in 1986 I was leaning up against a Gold Corvette one Sunday morning and Brooke Shields walks out of the
Gym and yells over to me..."Great color Vette!" Pretty darn cool.

So many great pictures of Corvettes this Sunday I couldn't pick a favorite, so I chose the picture of the most Corvettes.

Thanks Mike for another week of great stories and photos!

Congrats. to the new owners of both of the unique, and great looking C7's, the Shadow Gray and red interior, and the triple red convertible!

Went with a couple of pictures...……….

First one below shows the spring season almost all of us here are patiently awaiting...………….

the next photo is downtown Spearfish, part of the Black Hills Corvette Classic event...……… I participated in that event with some other forum members and it truly should be on all Corvette owners "bucket list"...…….
