Airport parking (Safe?)
Do you think it is safe to park a C7 Z06 corvette at a airport parking garage while flying? I’m doing a quick over night business trip.

Look. Any time you let your car out of your control in a public place you assume some risk. People on ths forum are going to say a variation of one of two things.
1. You are a fool to do this. Leave your car home and take a taxi to the airport. or
2. I've been leaving my Vette at the airport for dozens of years and nothing has ever happened.
Pick your choice based on how risk averse you are. No one here can tell you, really.

It’s a car. I see plenty of high end luxury cars at the airport. We park our X5 there often with no issues.

I wouldn't hesitate. Maybe try to park on side next to a curb if outside parking or up against a wall if inside parking, just to reduce the chance of a door ding.

I am sure it is most likely safe but for me not happening.

I always keep an "airport car" in my stable. Lately, that is my 2011 Mini Cooper. Frequently, I have to leave it parked at the airport for several days at a time and feel better leaving something that won't strand me without my dd if something happens to it. Let's face it - people can be careless and inconsiderate or just plain malicious so I try to mitigate that risk. I completely forget about the Mini the second I walk away knowing it's my "backup". But that's just me . . .

I can only comment on RDU (Raleigh NC) where I've parked a car recently. I've seen plenty of C5s, and C6s at RDU, not many C7s. The risk of theft or vandalism there is very low if you park in the main facility. The risk of door dings and scratches is extremely high, almost a guarantee if you park there two or three times.
No I wouldn't park my C5 there when I was traveling for a living. I parked a '96 Jeep Grand Cherokee with faded, pealing paint. It picked up over a dozen door dings and scratches over time but the nice thing was, I didn't care. YMMV

My Vette is my toy car. Does not go out in the rain or any bad weather. Would not even consider taking it to the airport under any circumstances. I have 2 other cars that are ready to serve that purpose. If I didn't, I would take Uber or walk.

I leave mine all the time, I do opt to park in short term parking at CLT. Even if it costs a few bucks more since it is covered parking. Biggest issue is that when I return a week without driving and on cold tires I am a little more aggressive than I probably should be...lol

Short term parking is fairly safe, long term and long term off-lot is a very desirable area for car thieves because of the time elapsed before cars are typically missed/reported stolen. However it you are an 'it's only a car type" then by all means risk it.

My rule is that if I am flying in the morning, then back the same day I will leave it (I like driving it home). If it's overnight or more I take the mom truck (Jeep Commander).

I will not take mine and leave it at an airport parking lot for multiple days - I have a daily driver that can be used for that. But, as others have said, if you are comfortable doing so, go for it. Chances are nothing will happen.
