Default 3/3/19 Corvettes all over USA/on site, Museum and Courtesy Del*Mike Furman@Criswell**

*Corvette enthusiasts have a common bond...usually brought on by someone known in the past that had a Corvette or a love for Corvettes. In my case I can specifically
remember sitting in the Library Senior year in Montvale, NJ and seeing magazine after magazine with pictures/stories on the 1978 Corvette Indy 500 Pace Car that was about to Pace the upcoming 500 mile Race.
The rest is history. My wife on the other hand came home from the Massapequa, NY hospital as a day old (Nov '60) riding in a 1957 Corvette. (see pictures below) I hear many tales in my
line of work not only of the Corvettes owned but also what lit the Corvette fire for my Corvette customers. I certainly get to hear some great stories! I should have taken notes over the past 41 years
that I have been selling Corvettes...could have written a book...with a lot of pictures!

>>**(I will be out of the office March 9th-13th as I will be attending ZR1 owners school at Ron Fellows Spring Mountain Race Track in Pahrump, Nevada with 12 of my ZR1 customers from around the USA.)**<<

~I have approx 6-10 sold Factory order Corvettes getting built every week for the next 10 weeks and they are getting delivered either at Criswell,
shipped enclosed trailer from Criswell, Corvette Museum Delivery down in Bowling Green, KY or a drop ship for Courtesy delivery at a Chevrolet dealer near their home.
Below are pics/stories of some from this past week. Stay tuned for many more. Call my desk direct line 301-212-4420 or email: MFurman@CriswellAuto.com to ask me
Corvette questions. Check out my Corvette dedicated web site. www.CorvetteFurman.com

~Phil S. of Fort Mill, South Carolina called me 4 years ago to order his Shark Gray 2015 Corvette and this time he made the same call but for a Long Beach Red 2019 Grand Sport. Phil’s Factory order
was placed 6 weeks ago and this past week he and his friend Charlie (fellow Corvette owner, 2008) flew up ( landed at BWI) and took delivery at Criswell. Phil ordered his Grand Sport with Kalahari interior, Auto trans, machine faced wheels and 2LT Pkg.
They headed South the 435 miles home to South Carolina and arrived safely. The weather was perfect for the break in ride.

~Don M. of Largo, Florida called me up 6 weeks ago to place his order for a 2019 Grand Sport Corvette Cpe and he wanted to take delivery at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY.
Well yesterday was delivery day and webcam #7 captured Don’s special day! The red carpet was certainly rolled out and they had a blast.
Don ordered his Grand Sport in Shadow Gray Metallic with Black Interior, 2LT Pkg, CF badge Pkg, Black Wheels, GS Heritage Pkg, GS Satin Black Center stripe, 7 spd manual transmission, Red seat belts and red GS fender hash marks.

~Peter B. of , Beaumont, California was referred to me by a fellow Corvette Enthusiast from California. Peter placed his factory order for a Long Beach Red Metallic 2019 Corvette Grand Sport Cpe
and I had it drop shipped for Courtesy delivery to his local Chevrolet dealer in Banning, California this past week. Equipment list includes: Gray interior, Chrome wheels, Red calipers, Auto trans and 2LT Pkg.
Look for Peter and his new Grand Sport at all the local car events! Peter's already called me several times to say how beautiful his Grand Sport came out. He likes this Corvette much better than the Mercedes Sports car that he sold to make room.
The picture below was taken before his Corvette got PDI'd at the dealership.

~I can sell all the makes and models New or Used at Criswell and this past week I delivered a couple of cool Silverado's and tomorrow morning I will be at the Honda Building delivering a brand new CRV.
Tracy T. of Shirley, New York drove down this week to pick up a Black 6.2 2019 Silverado Crew Cab. I gave him a sight unseen trade value on his 143,000 mile 2015 Silverado and he drove down from Long Island, NY, a mere 250 miles.
I had him in and out in under 30 minutes! Also this week Mark T. Of Mt Airy, MD came down and bought a Tricked out Silver Silverado 1500 that was lifted 7 inches, bigger wheels and tires along with Borla exhaust.
Last month Mark’s wife bought a new 2019 Red Colorado so it was now Mark’s turn as she doesn’t let him drive it...and she was a Ford truck gal!

~Some others that left the yard...

~The Frank Class Corvette Barn Find and Throwback picture section. Please post up which photo is your favorite this week.

~From my Malcolm Konner memorabilia collection...

~Have a great week...*no delivery post next Sunday as I will be out of the office March 9th-13th....driving ZR1's with my customers in Nevada.

Enjoy the trip Mike. I'd have to say my favorite pic this week is the story and pics of your wife as an infant in the C1.. that's something else. The world's most renouned Corvette Specialist marries a woman brought home from the hospital as a newborn IN a Corvette lol amazing.

I have to vote for the pic of your wife coming home in a Vette as a newborn. Quite fitting that she then marries a man who will sell thousands of Vettes. Thanks Mike

By the way, what number are you up to now, must be north of 4300 Vette sales.

Great week of pics. Really liked the museum delivery pics of the shadow gray GS. Sad to see the broken C6.R...I took these pics of another C6 at a local track day in Savannah.

That looks like a C5 FRC, not a C6

Good morning Mike,

Congratulations to the new owners.

Nice story about you wife's first ride in a car was a Vette.

I passion with Corvettes began in 1967. I saw a white C2 convertible with red interior heading north on May Avenue in Oklahoma City early one summer evening. I have been hooked on Corvettes every since, especially white ones with red interiors.

Have fun at Spring Mountain.

Thanks for sharing all the photos. I will go with this one.

I believe you are correct, I don't have a frontal shot...here's a C6 from the same event.

This is always the start to my Sunday!

Buddy, I want to know how long it takes you to assemble each of these Sunday threads....from writing, research, preparing pictures to add to each thread and finally clicking the "Post" button.

Because of my love for military aviation, I've chosen one picture as my favorite today.....

It's difficult to count all the hours each week that I spend because you would also have to include the time spent doing the deliveries and taking on the spot pictures and emailing them to
the respective customers etc...but conservatively I'd say 7 hours during the week and 2 hours every Sunday morning starting at 5:30am EST. When the Sunday morning post is completed I feel like
I just finished another chapter in a never ending book...very satisfying...and just so you know...when I sit down Sunday at 5:30m, I have no idea what direction my post will take...I just start writing.

So many good ones this morning...........several shots of the C1s driving through the woods are worthy of being favorites. Of course, the beautiful green C3 deserves kudos as well. The "old" shots of the then new 1950s cars reminds us of old times that we'll never see again.

Thank you for the great pictures and enjoy your Sunday, Mr. Furman!!

I like the blue 68 or 69 Corvette with the white top. I had one quite similar to that car and mine was a 69 350-350 HP with 40,000 miles. Thank for the great pictures and have fun next week!

I have seen that green C3 on this page before. Just something about that car really gets to me. I could stare at it all day. I guess it is a 1972 or so - not sure about the engine, transmission or what not; but it is just pure beauty and it looks very original.

Keep those photos coming!
