Default How much discount?

Looking at a new 2017 C7 with a sticker of $70K, optioned very nicely and the way I would like. How much off would you expect?

Looks like 15-16% off 2019’s but this is a 2017?

Deduct $5000 for each model year. So take an additional $10k off the 2019 prices. The dealer may disagree but then again, that's probably why they still have a new 2017 in stock. If the sticker is $70k, then $50k should be your target price. The dealer will try to slant it in a more optimistic fashion, but the bottom line is...the minute you drive off the lot, you have a 3 model year old car that they (not you) should take the depreciation hit on.

What’s the model/options? I’d guess somewhere between 47-55 though.

If it is a 1 LT with tons of options, you will get more off than if it is a 2 or 3 LT with less options. Profit is in the options which allows more of a discount.

If it were me, I would not want a car that sat around for 2 yrs. It would have to be a substantial discount from what a discounted 19 would cost for me to consider it.

About 8 months ago I purchased a brand new 2017 2LT A8 Coupe. The 2019's were soon to roll out and the Sticker Price was $69,240. I drove her off the lot with 22 miles on her paying $51,000. No trade in. I was even able to convince the dealership to go beyond the 3 free oil changes and got the first 5 oil changes, after the 500 mile break in oil change, so essentially got 6 for free. I think you should be able to get a 2017 for a lot less now that the 2019's are out. Good Luck!

That’s a good buy. This one is a Z51 Coupe 2LT with M7, which is what I want.

For a 2017, I would offer $50k and walk if they don't do it.

I'd offer -25% off MSRP. You should be able to get a few points more though.

exactly. No one should be paying over 45k for a c7 unless it's a grand sport, z06 etc

Looking to get a new 2019 Z06 coupe in 2lz. What do you think would be a good price and/or % off MSRP? Basically want 2lz with black wheels and that is about it as far as upgrades.

RIck at Coughlin had been selling new 2017’s last year for 25% off MSRP. I would not offer less than 25% and would start at 30%.

I like the car they have but know why they still have it, $63K for a leftover 2017 with a $70 K sticker nuts! What do they think they have? No names mentioned of course.

Why not mention their name? Not slanderous at all if you’re simply discussing your experience...

Good luck with your search, BTW

I’m going to offer $54K, that’s 24% off. I bet they won’t take it. They will have it even longer then.

I bought my Silver 2017 Z51 LT2 M7 coupe (picture in avatar) in November 2017. Sticker was about $70k and I paid $53k. I calculated about 24.5% at the time. Some discounts were before tax and some were credited after. You should be able to do that now.
GM had incentives plus dealer had Black Friday coupon. There was a coupon for an extra $2000 off where the dealer only had one or two to give out from the factory.
