Default Warble noise 2019 C7

Anyone having issues with the 1500 rpm "Warble Noise"
I have a 2019 Base Stingray, A8 with the "Warble Noise" Noticed it at around 1300 miles. I have been going round round with GM customer service & the dealer. Dealer says its probably road noise. Then they now say its "characteristic to the vehicle". Any advice or contact #s for GM.. i appreciate any information you can provide.. Thank you

Have similar noise with my 2014 A6. Took a test drive with the local dealer's Corvette tecnition. He says he is 90% sure it is tire noise. 18,000 miles on the original tires.

What I am hearing is definitely not tire noise. Hit the links below. Not my videos but exactly what I am hearing. Google C7 warble

2019 , A8, warble noise since new, currently have 6200 miles. Warble noise at 1500 rpm is intermittent. At the oil change ,mentioned it to the dealer, he could not duplicate it so I will live with it. I suppose I should be thankful I do not have the shudder issue with the TC.

I hope posting your phone number doesn’t give you a lot of crank calls.

I have a 2019 Stingray A8 and have had the noise since new. The car is now in storage. I will take back to the dealer for the 3rd time. I was hoping that GM would have a recall for that problem by now.

Suggest you follow the original Warble noise post I authored a couple yrs ago, ton of info there. GM knows the problem and a lot of guys have had success getting a fix. Depends on your dealer and if they are willing to push for a fix. GM finally bought my 16 back and I got into a 17 GS, no warble. I went through BBB org. You must be persistent, make some noise, take it to another dealer and contact the customer service folks, although they aren't much help it is the process you need to follow. I have GM Mary Barra's email (mary.barra@gm.com) although she will never read it, an assistant will get with you and try and help resolve the issue. Try and get you dealer service manager to contact tech support, trust me they know the problem is there and they have a fix, either a new differential or carrier cover that I assume has a brng in it. I was told it was bad gears in diff. from the vendor. The noise is not NORMAL as the dealer will try and tell you.

Dayum, GM has had this since 2015. My '16 base car had the warble from day 1. Unbelievable

I finally fixed mine by trading the damn thing for a GS.

Here's the entire novel that was started by Mr. Jones.

A real pathetic story. GM is still buying differentials that have this issue. Five model years of vehicles and they still continue to sell them with full knowledge of the problem. I've had it. My car will be sold this spring.

Randall, don't get out completely until you have driven a Grand Sport. Trust me. I really enjoy mine, and the eLSD is quiet as a church mouse.

Just bought a new BMW X5 MSport. Will sell the C7 and get a pre-owned Cayman. Corvette has been a real disappointment.

Thank you for all the information. I have spent days reading the Forums. Something I wish I had done before purchasing a C7. I have owned a C3, C4, C5 & two C6. Had a few small issues with the C4 & C5, the two C6 ran nearly flawless. Put over 40,000 on both of them. The 2008 started getting a little clutch chatter, replaced a coil pack twice & the Transparent Roof Panels were terrible. The dealer would swap out the roof panel once a year for me. Never had to contact GM. This car has been in two Dealers since early January. First time I brought it in I didn't know about the "Warble" issues. Dealer had the vehicle 4 days & told me TAC said the noise is "Characteristic to the vehicle". In a conversation with the service manager he made a statement. "the noise is the ring & pinion, but we can only proceed with what TAC allows". That is when I called GM & started reading the Forums. GM set up an appointment with a different dealer. The second Dealer, Shop Manager took a ride with me & heard the noise. Told me what I was hearing is road noise. I disagreed with him I asked him to take a look at the famous video by Strake & read a few posts. He wouldn't even turn his head to look at my phone. . His response was "The internet is not a reliable source of information. You are more than welcome to bring the vehicle to a different dealer". I politely asked him to remove himself from the vehicle. So the battle continues. I will post updates. GM Customer Service has been Worthless thus far.

I suggest you look on the ither very long orig. Post and find someone who had success at a dealership near you if possible. Take it to them, you know they would be familiar with the problem. Consider contacting BBB, that is what I did. Good luck, stay after them until they fix the car.

UPDATE.. I received a voicemail from GM customer assistance. My case has been escalated to the Executive Team. I have no idea what that means.. lol .. Anyone familiar with the "Executive Team" ?
I was going to upload the voice mail sound clip but the forum would not let me upload, It is not an accepted file type.

Quote :Hi Chris this is Amani giving you a call from Chevrolet Customer Assistance, Did wanna let you know I did receive your voicemail and your email as well. I'm gonna send it over right now and as soon as they pick it up they'll be giving you a call back. If you have any questions please give me a call back at 1866-790-5600 Extension # 59155. T

I rarely hear the noise as my top is always down. two years ago, on the back roads of north Carolina with the top up, the noise would drive me crazy. now with 24k miles, I barely hear it. it was a minor annoyance that has mostly gone away.

Not sure if it was mentioned, but had same warble issue since new, 2018 Stingray with A8. Took to 2 different dealers was told it was normal and they were unable to reproduce.
Read many articles here and decided its easy enough to change rear differential oil. Drained and found it 1qt low, after re-filling with 3qts warble noise went away
