Default No drill rear Z51 spoiler

Consider buying a no drill z51 since I don't want to take off the rear bumper.

To those of you (or know somebody) that installed them via 3M tape, how are they lasting on the vehicle after extended period of time?

So there is no spoiler on your car right now? If there's one there already you will still have to remove the bumper to take that one off won't you?

That tape is like super glue. Nothing will remove the spoiler except a crowbar. Just make sure you follow the instructions; use alcohol wipes to remove all wax from surface, and the glue will stick forever. I found the quality of the paint with those aftermarket spoilers is the weak point. Chips easy, though Carbon Flash color match is usually spot on.

It sticks fast, so make sure you have it lined up before you slap it down.

I agree with the last two posters. If you use a good quality double sided tape (3M comes to mind), it will stick securely and you should not have any problems with the spoiler coming off. The problem comes if you ever want to remove the spoiler - it will be a chore to get the tape loose.

Maybe try an Adhesion Promoter too? They are a few bucks on Amazon. Good luck!

+1. It's all about prep. Take your time. And don't drive over 300mph and you will be fine.

Take the bumper loose use the template and drill it for the gm spoiler. I Put a gm splitter and grill on my camaro had to pull the front bumper off was terrified to do this to a brand new car. Its not as bad as it seems the gm parts are of a better quality and fit better in my opinion
