With the emphasis on flexible automation these days they will build high dollar C8 alongside the current C7 indefinably until such time that marketing decides to shift the product mix and offer lower price C8’s until demand for the C7 drops considerably, maybe.

not necessarily... the official announcements for the upcoming model year always happen at the Bash in late April.

But as I had mentioned, the Bash announcement originally had "2020 Corvette" all through it, and it has since been edited to remove any reference of having a 2020 model car at the Bash.

Could this mean that there will not be a 2020 C7? Or that the 2020 C7 will just be a 2019 part II with nothing special to announce until the C8 is revealed?

Whatever happens, I think it will be an interesting message at the Bash... even if nothing is said at all.

The "teasing" will begin the end of April whether GM makes an announcement or not. Marcho Polo has this one right. The one and only way GM can quell the build up to the C8 is to announce a full line of 2020 C7s at the Bash. Anything else and the speculation by the media will be at full throttle. If GM wants to fan the C8 flames, the best thing they can do is say nothing at the Bash. The media has already shown they are quite willing to fill in the blank spaces. Any significant change to the C7 line-up and the speculation will be off and running and this time, there will be more than just the Corvette Forum faithful involved. Even my wife, who only knows there is some sort of Corvette car parked in our garage, commented that the "new" Corvette is having trouble with it's frame and electrical systems as per Fox news.

C7 of the Year - Unmodified Finalist 2021

I ordered my '19 as "I don't know" - I want a manual car (my C6 is auto) and if all the rumours are true I won't be able to have a manual Corvette in the future.
