Default Uniden R3 mounting options?

Looking for pics and recommendations on the cleanest look for mounting an R3 on a C7. Maybe the under mirror mount is best w/ the hard wire kit...

I am using Blendmount wired to the mirror. I looked around, and it has cleanest look I could find. It is ridiculously overpriced though.

Probably a fat chance that the R3 blendmount will be compatible with the new R7, right? I'm trying to plan long-term, but I cannot wait for ESTIMATED availability date on the Uniden R7. Just got my vette Saturday and I need something now.

Get an Escort 360C it has everything you need now (Arrows, auto mute, auto update and the KA range is close to my R3. They are all so close. The 360C is slim and sleek too.

I use the double suction cup mount that comes with it.

According to the specs below the R3 is the smallest - not sleek though. I'm leaning towards the better value. Tough to decide!

Local big box comparison of them

You cant go wrong, I have the R3 in my Hyundai and 360C in Vette, I like the arrows and automute of Escort. The R7 will get these if you wait..Good luck!

Suction cups work for me. Other units I have had would lose their suction and fall down on the dash periodically. Not with the R3.

Yeah, that's why I'm leaning towards the R3........if the R7 was available now then i would get it. Just bad timing for my needs today.

Suppose I could always return the R3 in 30 days if it didn't work out. And the R7 SHOULD be avail at that time, but from what I read - when the R3's were first released they were backordered due to high demand....hence the preorder option now on the R7's.

Bah, no biggie to update via USB.

And......personally I find the arrows unnecessary as a little experience tells you if the signal is coming from ahead or behind you

YMMV of course....

The arrows are sales department gadgetry.
A legit alert means you slow down regardless of where it comes from.
I suppose an alert from behind could mean you are going to make a run for it, but that never ends well.

Do you use stock suction cups that come with the R3? Does it sit level since the windshield is so angled?
