How to reduce or mute the sound of horn chirping when you lock the car?
On the Mylink center select settings, Vehicle, Remote Unlock Start, Remote Lock Feedback, Select Lights Only. (or, OFF for lights and horn both not to react)
If you set your car up for passive lock and unlock, Go to Remote Unlock Start, Passive Door Lock, and select OFF for the On With Horn Chip option.

Thanks all , now my post ownership questions starts
1. I have the M7 , you need to keep foot on brake too in addition to clutch down to start the car? This is new to me and never asked me to do this in my Bmws or audi manual cars i owned
2. How to reduce or mute the sound of horn chirping when you lock the car?
Thanks

Nope - the horn only has one sound / db level. Not like my Audi that made a soft little chirp.
If you don't like the horn confirmation (which I don't), the gas door lock actuator is pretty loud. I can hear it from several feet away and then I know the car is locked.

Nice. Watkins Glen was my favorite color but the Shadow Gray is it now, it just looks more exciting especially in the sun. Have fun.

This is my answer to the starting question per point 1 above, this is new to me.
For vehicles with an automatic
transmission, press the brake
pedal, then press ENGINE
START/STOP on the
instrument panel. For vehicles
with a manual transmission,
hold the clutch pedal down to
the floor, press the brake pedal
and then press ENGINE
START/STOP.

that must be new for the starting... in my 15 and 17 M7 cars, I keep the parking brake on, and just press the clutch to start. Never have to use the brake at all.
Try that... parking brake on, and just press the clutch.

Congrats on the new C7. Love that Gray color with the contrasting red seats. Nice choice.
