Well, it came out of no where yesterday but I am the proud owner of my first Vette. The lease on my 2016 Camaro SS was going to be up in several months and on a whim I just decided to stop at a dealership to check out the new 2019 Camaro's.
By chance, they had a 2017 Stingray 1LT w/ 5,000 miles on it just sitting there. So, dollar for dollar the new 2019 Camaro 2SS was about the same price. It gave me a good chance to drive both back to back (both manual trans, I am used to driving auto's and because my drive is mostly stop and go AND my wife never liked driving a stick, I never really considered one. But, the Vette was so much smoother and easier to drive).
So, a few of things that I (we) liked better on the Vette was the pop top, obviously the looks, the "feel" of driving it and we really liked the inside better.
So, my big concern then was the warranty, there was only a little over a year of bumper to bumper on the Vette.
The dealership put together a package for a bumper to bumper 6 year warranty, tire and rim coverage, glass coverage and dent/scratch coverage that I couldn't refuse so we pulled the trigger!
Yeah, I did end up with about $100/month more payment to buy this, over what I was paying a month on my leased Camaro (and obviously the term length on my Vette is longer) but we think it is worth it.
I am happy to find a great forum like this and have a lot more to read up on!

Welcome....no looking back now. Vette owners are always looking forward to their next Vette! You have the real deal now. Camaros are nice and cool, but still not a Vette....

I loved my Camaro's and would still be very happy with one, but driving this is more like an "event". So excited....

Welcome.
Just traded in my Stingray for a Z06 that has about a year left of B2B. Consider a GM (genuine GM) extended warranty if you are worried. Base car was pretty reliable, so the extended warranties are relatively cheap for yours. Search
Dennis Fichtner for a great deal. He's sold a ton of warranties on here.

A used C7 is light years better than a new Camaro. Even used, you did the right thing going Corvette.

Great color and great choice. You would have saw more Camaros in one day then you will probably see C7’s in a month
