Infotainment Screen Issue
The infotainment screen on my 2016 Stingray has developed a problem. The screen opens just fine to get to the storage compartment however, in closing it, the button has to be pressed three times. On the first two presses it just bumps-up a bit each time. On the third, it goes up normally. The car is still under full warranty. However, I'm uncertain as to whether having the dash torn into is worth whatever squeaks and rattles that will come out of the fix. On the other hand, though I don't mind so much pressing the button three times, I worry there will come a day when it just decides not to close at all and of course, that would probably happen after the warranty expires. I don't have any idea as to what has happened here. I suppose something in the compartment could have slipped down the crack behind the screen. I wonder, if that's the case, is the warranty still effective in that instance?
Any ideas or experience folks have had would be helpful.

The end-of-travel switch is bad. Not an uncommon issue in earlier models

The only experience I have had is explaining why a feature doesn't work as it should to a new buyer when it comes time to sell - it will need to be addressed one way or the other so get it looked at now while under warranty.

Unfortunately HP you said it yourself. If you have my luck the dang thing will go out at 36 months, and one day. Good luck on your decision.

I'd get it fixed while under warranty - and hope you are near a dealer that you can trust with your car.

I see two options; Take it in while under warranty, or take everything out of the cubby and never open it again.
