Default Headers, x-pipe, and new exhaust

I have been looking at possibly doing a header, x-pipe and new exhaust on my 2014 c7. I have the exhaust with NPP currently and I was wondering if I did add all of the above would the NPP be able to quite the ride so my wife can enjoy herself? Yes, I know how this sounds, but you know the old saying, If your wife is not happy....All thoughts would be appreciated.

Only if you keep the NPP valves near the mufflers. Most shops should be able to recover and reuse the NPP valves on whatever exhaust setup you go with. Will it quiet enough? Depends on the mufflers, but I seriously doubt it (headers).

Got headers on mine over winter with high flow kooks cats. Love em!!! And with npp activated it is to both me and my wife no louder and no drone!!! No problem at all with my wife and both her and I would hate the too loud noise on highway if it was a factor!!! Do it,you won’t regret.

Hmm, there's only been one other opinion, so, shots fired? I had this EXACT setup before I just eliminated the NPP. Now AHR headers, custom real cat-back to Magnaflow Comps. Wife's opinion doesn't matter.

Running Kooks + Kooks highflow green catted x-pipe + stock NPP and in stealth mode it is very quiet on the inside. Even in track, it's relatively quiet on the inside until you hammer. It is the perfect exhaust setup (my opinion).

So, you did not change to an aftermarket axel back with NPP?

Hell no. I love the stock NPP with the headers + high flow cats. Have tremendous flexibility to go from quiet to wild with a push of the touch screen buttons.

The issue with the stock NPP isn't the mufflers. It's all the junk between the mufflers and the engine

I have no relation with your wife (j/k). Yes, that's why she's my ex-wife.

I wish there was a way to buy just the Corsa black tips and weld them in place of oem NPP on the c7 z06. I like many others are fine with the system, but would love black tips like the Corsa black ones. They are missing a business opportunity, lol I'd pay to have those welded to my oem pipes.. I have no chrome on my Z06.07 car

I have Texas speed long tubes with catless X-pipe. Stock axle back NPP. It is very loud when open and super quiet when closed in stealth. No in between at all lol.
