Default Screwed by CARid

I'm surfing for upgrades for my '17 GS # 663. Carbon Fiber on my mind (must be related to Steve Bell).
I saw a "photo" for a Stage 2 Spoiler for my Z06 Body, looked like what I wanted, bought it, paid for, $ 720. +,
wait 16 days. It arrived, only 1/2 of it arrived?????? The bottom half, NO WICKERBILLS.....Why would
anyone just order 1/2 of the complete spoiler? The photo on the web is very misleading, clearly showing
it installed as a Z06 Stage 2 should be. Where are the Wickerbills for $ 700 bucks? Why install a NEW
1/2 half and re install my old Wickerbills?

Time for Bourbon before Noon.....CARid, I don't think Anderson Composites is at fault, just the seller.....
Please forward

I can't speak to how they hosed you, but if you end up having to order the stage 2 wings, this is the best price I have found while researching dozens of GM parts website. Mine just came in the other day. I paid $182 plus $10 shipping

https://www.gmpartsxperts.com/oem-pa...r-end-84339357

EDIT - These are painted carbon flash and are not carbon fiber

Not related to C7s but CARid has hosed me on both shipping time, customer feedback and return

Now when shopping and I see their site, I just keep cruising. Never get a dime from me again

Hope you get the wing situation figured out!

Even though they have a huge seemingly endless array of products, CARiD is a drop shipper and has no inventory.
Won't use them any more.

When you selected the item did you notice any option in a drop down menu?
I was looking at wheels and called them and found out there were many options that had to be selected in order to get the wheels that looked like the photo.
I've learned the hard way to do in depth research before purchasing. That being said, I've ordered thousands of dollars in stuff from them and they've always given me a steep military discount. Shipping was right on the money and everything arrived in perfect condition. What really ticks me off about them now, tho, is they've started collecting out of state tax. Wasn't that way when I bought my items a couple months ago. That would have increased my cost significantly.
Sorry for your bad experience.

In their defense, that's how a lot of companies do it these days. For a few grand you can become a distributor linked to distribution warehouse where the products get shipped from. I looked into it for a while but there are so many people doing it that the market is flooded. I can tell you for sure that a few companies do that on here. For one it doesn't make sense to have a product shipped to your facility and then have to reship it to the customer. It's hard to compete with companies that do the drop ship game. Two, there are so many options these days with products. For example just take a corsa exhaust. You can get polygon or round tips, cat back or axle back, sport/xtreme/xtreme plus sound level, etc. I doubt many places really stock many parts these days.

Default Carid

Don't know their policies, but if it were me I'd being trying to return item, getting my $$ back. I'd be willing to pay the shipping. And then I'd look elsewhere for my parts. Carid does not have a sterling reputation. Some due OK with them and others not so much. I don't shop there

I want the stage two taller end wickers for my 2019 Grand Sport. All the GM OEM parts websites say this part number fits a 2018 Grand Sport but they say it does not fit a 2019 Grand Sport. Is this just a case of the database not updated or is there really a difference between the 2018 and 2019 Spoilers?

I called www.gmpartsxperts.com and asked this question. I was given a different part number for the 2019, 84339359. So I ordered that part number and they sent me the stage 1 wicker ends which I already have..UUGGG....Frustrating.

So is there a difference between 2018 and 2019 for the stage two end wickers?

84339357 is the new part number for stage 2 rear spoiler wings. The old GM part number for the same stage 2 wings is 23256573.

This will fit both a 2018 GS/Z06 as well as a 2019 GS/Z06.

Not sure why GM replaces parts with different numbers. Then to compound it, the latest model year database doesn't get updated in some systems, including some non GM vendors, until long after that YM has been out.

Then try to sell your stage 1 wings in the for sale forum and many replies will be "does this fit a Z51?"

GM replaces part numbers
1.new supplier
2.new run of parts
3.any change in part, like adjusting a hole to fit better
