2014 rear axle problems?
Hey guys, Im about a month in to owning a 2014 Z51 M7 with only a little over 3000 miles on it. I have had the Service Rear Axle message pop up a total of three times now as well as a Rear Axle Systems Off message three times. The system off message happened today three times but the service message has been random and doesnt come back often. Any ideas what the problem could be? I reported it to Carmax prior to my 30 day warranty expiring so hopefully they can get it looked at and figure out what is wrong but I was curious as to whether or not anyone else had similar issues.
Ive also had issues with shifting into second (more so popping out of gear before I let out the clutch) but I have read that is common and there is a TSB for.

I had the same issue when I got my 2014 Z51 M7 and had it checked out by the dealer with panic and fear as a major driving force. Nothing mechanically wrong was ever found and I think there was a few others that had this issue come up as well. As suggested, I disconnected the battery for a few minutes and have never seen that message come up again in over 4 years. Might want to try this first.

How old is the battery? If its more than four years old it might be time. These cars like to eat batteries. Well, I guess most modern cars do these days...

I daily drive my C7, battery is always hot. If the C7 is anything like the C5 and C6 which I'm sure it is, they require the proper voltage or they start doing weird things. If you don't daily the car, buy a battery tender.

I got that notice quite a long time ago and the dealer changed out the fluid and reset it so the message would not come up again and if my serves me it was about my 1-2 year of ownership ( I am original owner and still have the car ) if someone has a better time frame just tell us !!!! Wayne

Sounds like it has moss growing on those 3000 miles. Maybe it needs to be driven so it feels better?
How old is the car battery? Failing batteries make all kinds of weird stuff pop up on the car.

Misfires can cause a Service Rear Axle message. Check your plug wires

I recall recently reading a Tadge Juechter technical post about axle half shafts circumference. If you can find it, it may shed some light on your issue.
