.. My brand new 2017 base, convertible, M7, would have sold to me for about $48K. Were mine sans Z51 features, MSRC, 3LT. With NO miles on it.This one has 8,500 miles & no factory warranty left..
BS —no way a new 3LT vert sells for 48k. My 15 3 LT vert m7 listed for 71k w/o MSRC. Add in the extra dollars for a 19 and we are talking a 33% or so discount according to you.

Some very good info already in this thread and some not so good info. Carmax as a baseline only but definitely sell that car privately first. You can always take the Carmax haircut later on.

As others have already stated, get the options list and go from there. Based on my research last year there is no 14' vert in excellent condition, low miles and with a good color combo - which this car has - in the $30's. Hard enough to find that it will draw a lot of local interest and likely some outside of your area as well. This car should sell easily somewhere in the $40 range. How high is dependent on options.

These threads always draw out the same "that car is only worth - insert low ball number here" based on what they paid for their car. Surprised nobody has posted up all the car guru's black 14' verts for $30K that when looked at up close are poor condition at best or they have high mileage, or they have a half dozen owners, or they have been in an accident, or they have a salvage title... The list goes on and on.

The OP is trying to help a friend that just lost her husband for christ sake. Unless she needs to fire sale it for some quick cash the worst thing he can do to help is sell it too cheap.

Was hesitant because all cars, locations and deals are different but I will throw my deal in here as one recent reference point as I searched all of last year and handed the original owner enough cash for him to part with it. As others have already stated a black on black manual is likely a bit more desirable depending on options and actual condition. What I can tell you is finding a convertible is a lot tougher than finding a coupe specifically if you want everything else to go with it wrt condition, history etc.... These cars have so many configurations that when you are talking used there is no blanket statement that can be made about their values.

Also, this is a toy that buyers (when they become actual buyers and not tire kickers) desire. Most spending this type of cash are not sweating a couple of grand when they find the right one. If you are that type then you have a lot of waiting and likely a compromise on one aspect or other of the car you actually end up with.

2014 Convertible, Arctic White on Jet Black interior 7000 miles, 3LT, auto with options, excellent condition, original owner, no accidents, pristine repair record. Original sticker $74K. Sold for $42,500.

Try finding a 2019 Z51 Convertible M7 w/ MSRC at any of the large forum dealers. I doubt you'd find more than 5-10 in stock in the entire US, if any.

When I was searching back in 2016, there were less than 5 used ones available in the entire US.

EDIT: Turns out my guess was very accurate. A Cars.Com search of the entire US turned up only nine 2019 manual Z51 convertibles at dealers in the entire US. I didn't check to see how many of those had MSRC, but they were all listed at about $70K and above, which was below MSRP.

There are only 69 new manual convertibles of all models (Stingray, Z51, GS, Z06, and ZR1) listed at dealers in the entire US. As I said, they are very hard to find.

Now that's what I'm talkin' about. Equipped, not stripped.

I fully agree they're (C7 convertibles) valuable. Esp. M7s. It just happens to be how I wanted my new C7 somewhat similarly configured. Some things weren't negotiable to me, as well.

Why are there so few? Seem desirable enough, yet Bowling Green makes what's ordered.
