Rev match or no Rev match M7

Racer
Part of driving is climbing a hill and gliding down to me. I think its because when I was a kid the house I lived in was on a hill and I had a wagon. I hate the way rev match gasses it when I just want to glide.

I use it sometimes for the sound not to instruct me how or when to shift.

not using it is like saying you prefer a rotary phone over a cell phone because that’s how you learned how to make calls
times and technology changes.
Active rev match is amazing tech
but hey - everyone loves looking things up in a card catalog at a library over using Google - right? It’s a more engaging way to get information...

With the fuse pulled...Borla X Pipe...and Catless Secondary Magnaflow Competition Exhaust....Rev Match on downshifts makes my ZO6 sound like it’s ripping the air apart around me!!!

On 100% of the time and of course with the fuse pulled nothing like that sound.

Drifting
99% of the time it's off. Hate the blip around town. I like it sometimes when I'm back road driving a little faster than I should and like to skip a gear on the downshift.
BTW learned how to drive a stick on a 67 Plymouth GTX 440. Never drove a Beetle.
Definitely get yourself an MGW flat stick shifter.

I have mine on most all the time. Don't see a reason to not have rev match on. It's easier on the drive line when down shifting, unless you're perfect with your two pedal foot action. Just a thought on the 7th to 4th gear error: if rev match is not on and you make that mistake you won't realize your mistake(7th to 4th rather than 7th to 6th) until you let the clutch out in 4th gear, which would be far worse than just hearing the motor rev(rev match), which allows you to realize your error before releasing the clutch. It's happened a couple times to me and I'm glad I had rev match on.

And Ken, rev match is way better than you are. (or me, or anyone not named Senna).

I do have fond memories of the dewey decimal system. And as a child I liked the sound the rotary dial made when returning to its place.

First thing I turn on when I jump in the Z, I wish it would stay on so I would not have to turn it on at every start up. Rev Match makes the worst manual trans driver the best manual trans driver.
