Well the price goes up the more you have wrapped. There seems to be 3 price points. Good, Better, Best, and What the hell go for it. Had it done. The wrap is with Xpel, good for 10 years, some what self healing. Had them ceramic coat it too. It is a slick surface. Most of the edges are wrapped over. Had the top done too, because if I store it I know soon or later some will wind up on top of it. Over 5K if I remember correctly. They had take off items and put them back on. Took over a week. The 3M might a little cheaper. Darker colors need it more as stone chips will show up as small white spots. How well depends on the installer.

Default Hmm?

Just for Info's sake, she is powerful, I checked Pinterest for wrapped C7's. Some pretty crazy stuff out there. Guess the good news is, like your temporary tatoo du jour. Grow tired of it. No harm no foul. Just peel them off before Sunday service.

I’d recommend getting it done. I had Xpel Ultimate put on mine (front
fascia, headlights, full hood, both front fenders, mirrors, rocker panels, behind the rear wheels and door sills, and the cost was $1950. Well worth the expense.

Depends on amount of vehicle coverage? Range is a few hundred dollars, up to $5,500.00.

My Grand Sport is pretty much condomized in Xpel Ultimate Pro, costing around $3,400 to do

Just had the front bumper (no fender, or hood work), rocker panels, side skirts, and the mirrors done with the Xpel Ultimate plus here in North Carolina for $950 (stuff ain't cheap). The guy was really nice, it took longer than he expected because of some stupid customers, so he threw in the the rear quarters for free. The stuff is great, you can't see it at all if it's done right. It looked so good I'm taking the wife's '18 Mustang GT to him this Thursday. I have been hesitant to have it applied to my cars, but I'm glad now I got over that.

Here's what it looks like..........yep it's on there. Really

Looks real good! Is there anything to do to car for prep?
Know anyone near the Fort Worth area?. Keep in mind Fort Worth not Dallas.

However, I recommend ForceField Paint Shield in Lewisville. http://www.forcefieldpaintshield.com/. That is who Xpel sent me to when I needed to have mine completely redone (extremely poor job done at the NCM - which no longer offers this for good reason). See my story here: Another NCM Xpel Story - Happy Ending.

Not a thing David. The installer will take care of everything. Mine even hand washed my car when he was through.

Have my Z completely wrapped with SunTek. All edges wrapped and looks amazing. No swirl marks and easy to take care of. Most that see my car have no idea it’s wrapped and always comment how nice the paint looks.

Here are some approximate costs for Xpel ultimate which will give you some reference. This is from a highly reputed shop in Michigan, prices would probably vary a little bit depending on the installer, location and wrap.
There are multiple wrap options like Xpel, Llumar, Suntek. Xpel, in general considered the best wrap with good anti-coloring characteristics.
To answer your original question, yes a lot of people do this. The top reasons to do so are, protection from stone chips, easy to clean, protection from minor scratches and bruises.
The fact is, wrapping your car is not a need, but a want. In my opinion, having seen many low cars and the rate at which they collect stone chips on the hood/front, i decided to get it anyway. Of course if you don't drive your vehicle much and be cautious to maintain a considerable distance on the highways, your chances of getting a stone chip are lower, but nevertheless, the wrap gives you some kind of protection and absolute peace of mind.

If you notice the pictures, you will notice different levels of coverage and their appropriate protection. In my opinion, atleast try to get the front of the car wrapped, followed by the rocker panel. Thats where i have seen the most number of stone chips on non wrapped covettes.

There are numerous threads on this forums about the different wraps and pricing. Doing a thread search helps!
Good luck with your decision.

I had entire car done in Suntek ultra for 2500 in Canada. Does anyone know if you can put vinyl wraps on top of PPF? My tiny guy said no but I'm pretty sure I've seen YouTubers do it.
