Default Update

Ken:

Any news as to when you will pick up the car?

Anxious to hear what was done to get you back on the road.

Those back country roads through Stafford are waiting for you.

Maybe a Sunday drive for breakfast at...... the Donald Cafe’

[QUOTE=z51vett;1599279515]Kenhorse got mine back drives great put in range device before leaving car drives and sounds great. They even hand washed it for me so we shall see what happens now. Oh tech showed me the parts one cam lobe on cam had light scarring so no metal made it in.

Nice choice Doug. Jarrod over there at Ellis is excellent. Glad it worked out for you, and GLAD they hand washed it! NICE JOB!

I hate driving down to there, but it's worth the trip usually...

When I spoke with my buddy, the SM there, he said they're shooting for tomorrow (Wednesday). As long as I have it by week's end, I'm good as one of my clubs is doing a 3 day drive the first weekend in May and I want to shakedown the car before that. Oh, and the Donald Cafe is only 3 miles from me so that's not much of a drive!

We live in Arizona now, so haven’t been to the Donald Cafe for awhile.

Dating myself here.

You will have to take a picture of one of your Corvettes the next time you eat there!

Well this is annoying....

Their 2 'vette certified techs (one of whom is working on my car) had to attend some GM mandated school today and tomorrow. So now I'm being told "Monday or Tuesday of next week".

I try to stay cool about things but it seems to me.....oh Hell, what's the point....

My wife tells me I'm too easy going at times.

I'm one of those people whom are nice until it's time not to be nice anymore. And you KNOW what that means

I suspect it either dropped a valve, lost a lifter or a rocker...
Bummer!

Almost the end?

Car is back together and was taken for a test drive today. Tech reports all looks good but wants to let it go through a couple more heat/cool cycles to make sure. If so, I get her back tomorrow.

(1 month to the day)
