4/14/19 Dozen+Corvette deliveries this week,several ZR1's/pics*Mike Furman@Criswell**
~If the internet didn't get broken the other night when Tadge Juechter drove Mary Barra a few city blocks in New York...then wait until the C8 reveal on July 18th 2019.
The Corvette is and always will be America's #1 Sports car but many dreams will be made once the next Generation Corvette goes in to production. Oh of course there are
always folks that will say "it's not this or it doesn't have that"...everything needs to evolve and the engineers and designers of GM are doing great work on behalf of all
Sports car enthusiasts. The next Generation...C8 is my 5th new Generation change (1984,1997,2005,2014,2020) that I have sold Corvettes thru and although the landscape has changed because
of the "Internet"...the opinions which run the gamut should be held in check until GM gives a full release of all the features that they have been working on for the better part
of a decade.
Here is something I posted on my Corvette Furman Facebook page the other day...~"Zora Arkus Duntov would have been pleased to witness last nights tease of the C8 reveal news. I spent many a conversation with him at the Malcolm Konner Corvette Shows every Summer from 1978-1990. I knew the Mid Engine Corvette was a dream of his as his body of work on many a concept car leaned to the mid engine but he could never convince GM. His parting words to his successor when he retired in 1975 were “Build the Mid Engine Corvette!” The Horizon looks crystal clear now that last nights debut of Mary Barra being driven by Tadge Juechter in NYC occurred. Stay tuned for pure excitement as the dreams of Zora become reality in 2020. Having worked for the Konner Auto Group put me in prime position as a young man...it certainly was great building blocks for the past four decades ...I remind Gary Konner of that each time we talk. I don’t believe Gary realized how much of a sponge I was and how much working for his family dealership meant to me." Mike Furman

4/14/19 Here are some delivery stories from this past week...
Mike H. of Agoura Hills, California got in line for the 2019 ZR1 a long time ago and this past week was Museum Delivery day in Bowling Green, KY. Mike and his whole family had the red carpet treatment as his 755 HP ZR1 was staged in spot #4 on the Museum floor.
Equipment list for ZR1 #1939 is: Kalahari sueded microfiber Interior, Competition Seats, Yellow calipers, Auto transmission, Carbon Flash painted wheels, Jake Center Caps, CF painted mirrors, ZTK Track Performance Pkg and 3ZR pkg.
Mike S. of Bonita Springs, Florida got on my ZR1 order list early and this week his ZR1 #2084 got shipped enclosed trailer down to Mike’s Florida home. Mike’s 755 HP Factory order is Torch Red with Black microfiber insert Competition Seats,
Red seat belts, Red stitching, Red calipers, Auto transmission, cf painted mirrors and 3ZR Pkg.
~Mike S. of Brodhead, Wisconsin and I met two years ago at the Corvette Bash in Bowling Green, KY. His Father told a great story about getting a ride in a 53 Corvette back in 1953! So 6 weeks ago Mike told me about his Blue 2018 GS and I gave him a sight unseen trade in value and he placed his factory order for a Torch Red 2019 Grand Sport Cpe. We heard it was supposed to arrive at Criswell yesterday so he hopped in his truck and trailered his 18 GS to Criswell. I had it all ready when he arrived at 8am today so he could unload and load up for the trip back to Wisconsin. Super nice Corvette guy!!! I had him in and out under an hour. Equipment list: Red Seats, 1LT Pkg, CF hood Stinger, Black Wheels, 7 spd manual trans, Red seat belts and Red calipers.
In Mike's own words after arriving home..."I just got home here in Wis. The new 19 GS is tucked away in the garage. Had a great trip home. I am very impressed with everything you did in this sale, and the comps are very much appreciated.
If any of my friends ever look to buy a new Vette I am sending them to you. Thank you so much." Mike S. Brodhead, Wisconsin
~Larry B. of Belle Vernon, PA called me this past week as he viewed on line an Arctic White 2019 Grand Sport Cpe with Black Interior and the GS Heritage Pkg. I held the car for him a few days so he and his son could fly in from the Pittsburgh area to view it in person.
One look and they knew. After quick payment they were headed Northwest back to their PA home for a comfortable 3.5 hour ride. Great Father Son time fore sure. Equipment list: Transparent roof, CF badge Pkg, Auto transmission, Black Wheels, cf painted mirrors and 2LT Pkg.
Larry bought a 1974 Corvette brand new and the last picture shows his original shipping sheet for his long gone 74 Vette. He does currently own a 79 Corvette and now this stunning Grand Sport.
~~Jim S. of Fountain Hills, Arizona contacted me quite awhile ago as he wanted to get his wife Karen a new 2019 ZR1 Convt. Between the two of them they spec’d out a loaded Orange design ZR1 Convt which comes
in Sebring Orange Metallic and some really cool touches in that Pkg. This is ZR1 #2126 and it’s stunning. Equipment list: Carbon fiber tonneau inserts, Auto transmission, Jake logo center caps and 3ZR Pkg.
Plycar Trucking picked it up last night and will enclose trailer it to their home in Arizona.
~Dave D. of Mt Airy, MD bought his very first Corvette from me in 2002 and several other Corvettes since then including many other CHEVROLET cars and trucks. I’d say close to 20 vehicles in all!
This week he came in and picked out a 2019 Admiral Blue Stingray Corvette Cpe. Equipment list: Auto transmission, 2LT Pkg, Performance exhaust, Black machine faced wheels, and a body color Z51 spoiler.
Dave is really happy to be back in a Corvette!
~Ed H. of Arlington, VA found me on the Internet two months ago and after a couple of test drives he Factory ordered his Shadow Gray 2019 Grand Sport Cpe with the Kalahari microfiber insert interior and this combo looks great!
Yesterday he came in and took delivery of his dream Corvette!
Equipment list: Visible carbon fiber weave roof, Red calipers, 7 spd manual transmission, Maxine faced wheels, Navigation/PDR and 2LT Pkg.
Here is Ed's email after he took delivery..."Thanks and appreciation Mike for the pictures and video. I have been watching your video tutorials which are a great help. Thank you very much also for all of your guidance, advice, and assistance
in getting my Grand Sport factory ordered and delivered exactly as I wanted and when I wanted it. I was a little apprehensive this morning driving a brand new stick shift Corvette immediately after delivery in traffic on the DC Beltway,
but as soon as I got going it was a thrill only a Corvette could provide and I was in the zone! I did not want to stop driving it!
Looking forward to owning and driving this Corvette for a few decades." Ed H. Arlington, VA
~Robert S. of Bergenfield, NJ has been following me on the Forums so he called me to order his new Elkhart Lake Blue Metallic 2019 Z51 Cpe with Black Interior. I suggested renting from Enterprise and drop off the rental and drive home together the 220 miles with his wife. Gettysburg is just 50 miles North of Criswell so they toured there Friday and picked up their brand new Corvette yesterdy. Equipment list: 7 spd manual transmission, cf badge Pkg, Red calipers, Motorsports Polished wheels and 1 LT Pkg.
Robert was even kind enough to bring down a JuJitsu t shirt as a gift for for my son.

"In honor of jpee"
Haven't even gotten thru all the Frank Class pics, but much as I like the old fotos (esp. that '62-first year of the 327, and all those BLUE mid-years with the hoods up!), the nod still goes to the happy-face, new-car buyers.
Can you just imagine that duo from a bit of a distance from Pittsburgh? "Hey, son--let's fly down to Criswell and pick up a Corvette!" I am sure the response was NOT, "Aw, gee, Dad...do I have to go?"
Like the pics, all of them, and will finish the Frank Class section later today!

Every time I read your Sunday thread, I go right to the garage and tinker with my C7!
And hey, I didn't know Corvette was a family car! It looks like it seats 7 people here......

Thanks again Mike for all of your help with my new Corvette, the photos, and the drive off video! You truly add to the pleasure and Corvette ownership experience. Perhaps one day there will be a new C8 in my future. But this C7 stays with me forever. We are a buy and hold family. My mom's "new" 1969 Nova I sold when it was 14 years old during my college years and my "inherited" 1979 1 owner Cadillac turns 40 this year with its' original gleaming "GM magic mirror acrylic lacquer "Firemist" paint"! I plan to keep the Corvette looking this good for a long time, and also driving it as the car was engineered and made for.

Excellent photos as always, thanks for sharing! I am going to put insurance on my C-6 and start driving it again now that the weather is getting better and the potholes are getting repaired in our cold state of SD.

Thank you Mike for another great Sunday delivery thread. Are you ever selling C7’s or what! Week after week. Very nice. BTW, a little birdie just whispered to me that in the 48 hours after GM’s NYC 7.18.19 drive, you signed up 25+ new C8 customers. Interest in the next Corvette generation is growing and growing. When I first started to put up ME spy pics and renders on FB, there were about 3 likes for every 2 dislikes; now it is running about 5-10 likes for every negative comment.
GM is going to need to build a whole bunch of C8’s for 2020.
Mike thanks also the wonderful memory lane pictures. So many to enjoy again this week, including...

My favorite picture by far is Zora looking at the engine bay of a 68 corvette bronze big block convertible at a Konners corvette show. The reason is simple—that was my car!!!
I had a short conversation with Zora about the 68s and their issues and a longer conversation with his wife Effie when she asked me about the pen I had that wrote with paint. I used that pen to have Zora sign a bunch of stuff whenever he appeared at the annual Malcolm konner corvette shows in the early 90s.
