Default GM front spoiler on 2014

In looking through threads here I came across a Genuine GM Spoiler Package Part# 22922352 front splitter. Looked it up found it to be relatively inexpensive (iow: cheap to replace) that I thought would be great on the front of my car for curb protection. Unfortunately when I look it up, it says it is for 2015 and above. Anyone know why it does not fit the 2014 and/or what the correct part number is?

Thanks

The GM Poverty Splitter part # 22922352 fit all C7 Corvettes. This is my 2016 C7 painted in Carbon Flash.

Yes, that splitter will work just fine with your ‘14. Recently installed the same one on my ‘14.

"I thought would be great on the front of my car for curb protection."

I really don't know what you are talking about here because while it's an aerodynamic item it provides no protection and is easily broken if it hits a curb.

But at less than $200 all in, it will be much cheaper than repairing or replacing a front fascia.

if you are looking to use it for front end protection, it doesn’t stick out far enough to really protect the fangs, although you will scrape it first before you’ll scrape the actual bodywork. So I suppose it does offer SOME protection.

And all you want it to do is offer some modicrum of protection for the front, don’t buy it new. There are plenty of C7 owners (Grand Sport and Z06 came with this splitter standard) that have upgraded to a stage 2 or 3 set-up. I have mine for sale for $100 and will even install it for you if you’re local.

The extents to which it sticks out from the car with appropriate air slots. Essentially the higher stage is for more higher performance vehicles to produce more downforce. BUT if you don't plan on going that fast you can use the lower stages or still go for a higher stage for aesthetics.
