Those that say I will carry a plug kit , and a air pump ... how the heck are you going to .....

Get a jack under a vette that has a flat
Or try to lay on the ground in some unsecured place trying to find a nail or what ever is in the tire so you can pull it out
Then push a plug through said hole in tire
and then pump up with some 12 volt pump

Or

"I have Towing"

I have two cars that require Flat Bed towing , a AMG and my VETTE . For those that say this, have you ever waited for a Flat Bed tow truck that has the ability to pull your car up ...? Not all drivers know how to lift a low expensive car . I have and in both cars I have had 2 drivers see the car and say that they could not pull my cars up without damage . And then what are you going to do when they get it up on the bed , have them drop it off in the parking lot of a closed repair business ...and then have to come back when they are open

No thanks ... I will keep my runflats on both cars ....

I recently did with my OEM "runflats". Very disappointing they couldn't hold up better after a pothole.
Replaced with non-runflats.

If you don't mind sharing, what did you replace with?

I got one a year and a half ago driver side rear. Got a quarter mile from my house when I got the low pressure warning. I went back home and removed the tire to find three punctures. One of the holes was too near the side wall to repair but I had about 33,500 miles on the tires and it was getting close to replacement time anyway.

Had a piece of metal go into a front tire at 8000 miles. Replaced with the same factory tire, no problem at all except for the cost of a tire.

Ditto, I found runflats to be a waste of money. I much preferred my Michelin non runflats.

I got a large key close to the sidewalk of a new AS tire and thanks to Tire Rack it was covered and I got a replacement. I’m glad I had ZP’s.

Do you travel with items to help with a flat?

Pothole. Tire still held air. Very glad I had runflats as standard tires would have left me waiting on a tow.

I could get the tips of two fingers into this opening.

I picked up a screw, right rear tire, this past winter. Tire had five thousand miles. I replaced it with an identical tire, total cost was around $400.00.

Had the same thing happen to me on the highway at 70 MPH , hit a pothole , split it right open .... Run Flat never let me down , drove it home that night , then next day I checked the air and proceeded to drive it to Discount , bought two new rear Run flats ...

Question to those who experienced tire issues on hitting pot holes, what mode do you drive on? Tour or sport?

Screw in rear tire, Discount Tire put a plug in it. Held fine for the last ~5k since it was done.

I have run flats and I never have to worry about getting stuck somewhere with a flat. Priceless!

I did. Plugged and patched and kept on driving.
