The "Osborne Effect" in action...

NO ONE could have guessed that the announcement of a new, superior model would affect sales of the existing model, right?

So what that means is that if you want a C7, you can buy for a really great price!

Duh everyone that is going to buy a new one. Is going to wait. I would for sure. I don't know how it will go over. Going to be hard to beat the C7s styling and looks!

This happens at every new gen release, thus why GM offers some special models, etc.

I think just about everyone who wanted a C7 and could afford one, already has one. The king is dead. Long live the king!

Some people will want a front engine, rear wheel drive car.

D'oh. This happens every time a new generation is about to debut. All those C7s on lots will be sold sooner or later, and life will go on.

Great color but not a fan of the Lotus look (cab forward...)

Hard to agree with the OP..I was at MacMulkin last Sat and every salesman was busy. I would bet they sold 5 or 6 C7's during the hour I was there. I "overheard" several people both buying in stock cars and also buying new builds.

Of course, a new model announcement is slowing sales. With that said, I like the looks of this render.

C7 sales were waning before the announcement of the c8.

gm should have put the LT2 engine in the c7 grand sport in 2019 model year ...

it would have helped last year sales of the c7..

otherwise deeper discounts than what we have seen during the past year.

last months discounts certainly have woken up potiential corvette c7 buyers

Exactly. Some great deals may be had on the rest of the C7s.

I just love how people assume 2019 Corvettes aren't selling? Before I hear about there are 9,000 of them sitting let me give you some insight. One I am the Corvette manager at a Chevrolet dealership and can tell you we are busy with C7 sales both new and used. Also, all of the top 50 Corvette dealers in the country are taking as many 2019's that Chevrolet will give them? MacMulkin as of yesterday had 324 Corvettes on the ground. Dave from Kerbecks post on another thread that going into the month of May they always have over 200 new Corvettes in stock? Guess what they have less than 100? He said they are trying to get as many as they can for stock? Mike from Crisswell posted on Sunday that he himself delivered 37 Corvettes for the month of April? Rick Conti said his inventory is half of what he usually carries because they are selling very well? The top dealers are also selling these cars at a loss hoping to make some money on the trade or F&I?

Are there cars sitting for a long time at dealers? Yes most of them are either ordered wrong with options, no options, or wrong color combos? Just this month I have taken 4 sold orders for 2019's. Most of the country the weather has been lousy it is just starting to improve. I see the next six months C7's will sell very well because anybody who wants the last front engine Corvette, the last manual transmission, the last soft top convertible, ZO6. ZR1, are going to buy one before they are gone!!!

Which is exactly what I did! Turning back the clock, and the odometer, on my 2014 C7.
