Performance exhaust on Stingray - worth it?
Just curious - I am not tracking the car - is the performance exhaust worth the extra $. Is it literally just to hear the roar of the engine and add 5 hp (which are both nice) or does it offer any other advantages?
Thanks in advance!

It's mostly sound (and adjustability). No question, it is worth it!

In my opinion, the performance exhaust looks good, sounds good and you control the mode. The 5 hp is bonus.
I had to have the performance exhaust or I would not purchase the car.

Not a "MUST HAVE" item.......but since I factory-ordered my 2017 Stingray 2LT, I figured "what the heck and why not" when checking the boxes.
It is nice to drive in the "Sport" mode almost all of the time and then have the ability to switch back to the "Touring" mode when I am in my neighborhood or backing into the garage.

A very worthwhile option in my opinion .let it roar when I feel like it and make it quiet so I can chat with my favorite girl. Beautiful popping and crackling when you let off the gas!

Definately worth the price of admission. Especilly when i'm in tour and a ricer shows up with their windows down and they look at you and switch it to track and here it growl. The ricer usually limps away or goes OH SNAP.

Would not have purchased my 2019 Stingray without the Performance Exhaust.

100% worth it. Its probably one of the few options that will help retain value on a Stingray alongside the Z51 package and maybe MRC. I would not purchase a Stingray without the exhaust, unless of course you plan on adding a set of aftermarket pipes.

Is it worth it - to me it was. Love how the NPP exhaust sounds.

I had corsa sport on my 2006 convertible, sounds much better than npp on my 2014 base 3lt

100% worth it. I drive an electric car to work 4 days a week. Silent like a tomb. I drive the vette on Friday's. I usually take the long way just to enjoy the experience.

its good but i expected it to sound louder
The exhaust tips and looks alone are worth the price

Definitely worth it; the louder exhaust is perfect after a long, long day at work. Plus, the crackle and pop on overrun are just the thing, when on the back roads, or even pulling up to another car at a red light. I can't tell the difference 5hp makes.

Its a must have because the engine sounds so awesome when the mufflers are in bypass. And nice and quiet for certain occasions such as long highway trip or sneaking out of your hood late at night.

You don't have to spend much time on this forum before you realize it's one of the most popular C7 options. I mean there's always debate (actually fighting) over which trim package is best, over AT vs MT, which model is best, which color is best, if MRC is worth it and on and on, however don't believe I've seen many debates over NPP or not. Because most everyone wants it.
So is it worth it? Well good luck selling a C7 without it.
It comes standard on every model except base Stingray, must be a reason for that. $1195 well spent in my opinion.

As you can see it is very popular. The first time the sales guy put it into track mode and I heard it rumble I was sold. Listening to it crackle and pop while you're decelerating is awesome. I love it.

Here is a vid of it. When the valves are open it really does have a rumble. I couldn't imagine having a corvette without the performance exhaust or some kind of after market. It would kill the driving experience for me.
