Default 5/19/19 Bebe gets her 6th Corvette with stick! *Loaded w/pics. *Mike Furman@Criswell*

~It's a given that July will be a busy month for me but in reality every day is busy... As you can tell from my weekly delivery posts.
I will be attending the next Generation reveal in Southern California July 18th/19th and then I fly across the State border July 20th-23rd to Pahrump, Nevada to share the Corvette owners school with 20
Corvette customers at Spring Mountain Race Track. Still a few seats available so call Melinda or Donna at Spring Mountain (1 800 391 6891) to reserve your spot. We will have a blast
and I will be fresh off attending the C8 reveal extravaganza. This is my 5th Corvette Generation change that I have sold Corvettes thru.

Call my desk direct line 301-212-4420 or email mfurman@criswellauto.com for C8 Corvette info and learn about my deal folder line/list.

June 1st 2019...if anyone is in the Annapolis, Maryland area...I have already pre-registered and will be there from 4pm-8pm.
Chesapeake Car Wash along with Corvette Annapolis Club will be having its 1st Corvette Car Show on June 1st from 4-8pm and a great opportunity to see up to 35 Corvettes and will provide food and drinks (BYOB) to all and will have Craig Laughlin, Joe Beninati and Tom Morris (owner of wash and a Corvette) from NBC sports Washington Capitals TV announcers on hand. We will have corn hole at 6 pm along with prizes and awards for the cars in attendance and a fun time to hang out and see some great Corvettes and great people. Still a few spots left to register and all proceeds will go to the ARC foundation as Chesapeake Car Wash will donate a % of all car wash sales that day to the ARC Foundation. Below are the flyer and registration form. Call 410-224-0175 for all Corvette show info.

Thanks, Chesapeake Car Wash Staff

~Some of my Corvette deliveries this week...

~Bertha “Bebe” M. of Lewes, Delaware has now owned 6 Corvettes..the last three were Yellow, Convt’s, all stick shifts and bought from me. Her 2011 Convt had 89,000 miles and was due for an overhaul so she called me to order herself a new 2019 Corvette Convt. In Racing Yellow with Black top and Black Interior. Bebe can handle a stick shift quite easily, not bad for 80 yrs young!! The front and rear cameras will be nice to have compared to her 2011 Vette. Besides the 7 spd manual transmission she ordered, Navigation/PDR and 2LT Pkg. It arrived just in time for her to drive to New England this week for her Granddaughter’s Graduation.
Let’s hear it for Bebe!!!!

~Bob G. of Eugene, Oregon was referred to me by a fellow Corvette Club Member from Oregon. Bob Factory ordered a Blade Silver 2019 Z06 with Kalahari interior and yesterday the Red Carpet was rolled out for him at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY.

Equipment list: cyber Gray full-length dual stripes, shark gray vents, Auto transmission, R8C museum Delivery and 2LZ Pkg.

~Brad A. of Dacono, Colorado called me about placing a factory order for a loaded Torch Red 2019 Z06 and his goal was to take delivery at The National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. This past Friday the Red Carpet was rolled out for his Z06 Delivery.

Equipment list: Black Competition Seats, CF painted Ground effects Pkg, chrome badges, CF Instrument panel, 7 spd manual transmission, chrome wheels, Z07 Performance Pkg and 3LZ Pkg.

~These incredibly nice folks from Aldie, Virginia not only bought a new 2019 Corvette Grand Sport from me last Summer but the both of them even joined me in Nevada for the two day Corvette Furman Spring Mountain Race driving school this past October.
This week they purchased a new 2019 Silverado Trailboss from me at Criswell and even wrote the following review on Dealerrater.com

“This is my second vehicle purchase from Mike Furman within the past year. Of course, Mike is known as a rockstar in the world of Corvettes, but let me assure you, Mike is an amazing salesman, and an even better human being.
Last June, I factory ordered a 2019 Corvette Grand Sport from Mike. It was my first Corvette purchase, but certainly will not be my last. That process was the smoothest car buying experience I’ve ever had. To that end, when I was considering leasing a new F-150 last month, I reached out to Mike and found out that Criswell doesn’t sell new Fords. My previous experience with Mike was so positive, I switched my focus back to Criswell brands. After driving past 4-5 Chevy dealerships to take my Grand Sport in for an oil change, I stopped by Mike’s desk just to say hey. I started talking about pickup trucks, and he encouraged me to see if there was anything I liked on the lot. I saw exactly what I wanted in a 2019 Silverado TrailBoss!
Fast forward a few weeks to yesterday, and yet again, another great car buying experience with Mike. This guy really knows his craft. I drive past lots of dealerships to take my business to Mike and plan to continue to do so for the indefinite future. Kudos Mike!”

~Paul B. Of Lovettsville, Virginia currently owns a 1969 Corvette and he called me up a few months ago to see about ordering a new 2019 Corvette Z06. He made an appt. and test drove before making his mind up. This week he picked up Corvette#4.

Elkhart Lake Blue Metallic with Black Interior was his final color choice for his 650HP Corvette. Equipment list: 7 Spd manual transmission, CF painted ground effects Pkg, CF Instrument panel, 10 spoke Blade Pearl Wheels, Z06 embroidered console lid, 2LZ Pkg and Navigation/PDR.

~Mike R. of Ashburn, Virginia was referred to me by another one of my Northern Virginia customers. We spoke on the phone and formulated a plan and 6 weeks ago he placed his factory order for a Shadow Gray Metallic 2019 Grand Sport Corvette Cpe. It arrived Tuesday and Thursday he and his daughter came to take delivery. Mike bought a 1989 Corvette brand new and this 2019 is his 2nd Corvette! Equipment list: 7 Spd manual transmission, 2 Tone Gray/Black Interior, 2LT Pkg, Jake Stinger logo decal, cf badge Pkg, Red calipers, Black Wheels, Jake Center Caps, CF painted mirrors.

~Noël W. of Williamsburg, Virginia was referred to me by her boyfriend (and my Corvette Customer from 2 yrs ago) Geoff of Mechanicsville, VA to buy a new Corvette. Noël went to my web site and found the perfect match, this Elkhart Lake Blue 2019 Stingray Cpe.

We made an appt for 8:30 am yesterday morning and I had the Corvette all filled with gas and ready for inspection. Equipment list: CF badge Pkg, Black Wheels, Performance exhaust, Auto transmission, and 1LT Pkg.
Here's a quick note after they returned home...Mike,
"Thank you for everything. We had a blast on the drive home and are thrilled with the new addition to our family.
I wish you and yours all the best."
Regards, Noël

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I receive a ton of letters, emails etc...but the other day on a Forum post someone questioned basically why Mike Furman?

"Other than transaction satisfaction, how was the rest of the experience? Were you kept "in the loop" regarding your factory order build status and codes? Did Mike let you know when your Corvette was built? Or, did you know when your Corvette was built and on its way to Criswell, or wherever you took delivery? Or was it more that you told Mike what you wanted and the next thing you know, you had your Corvette?"

So then several readers chimed in and I truly appreciate all the support especially what this customer wrote. He spent a lot of time and it didn't go unnoticed.

"Let me tell you a few things, first I'll answer your questions:

If you want to be hand-held, he'll hand hold you, If you want purchasing advice, he'll give you advice. If you just want to order a car and be told when to pick it up, that's your option as well.
The entire experience of buying from Mike is the easiest car purchasing experience you will have. I've bought 3 Corvettes and a Tahoe from Mike, and with every purchase, he kept me in the loop on what was going on, and I didn't even ask him to. He was incredibly flexible on delivery dates for me as well, as I had to drive down 220 miles each way to MD from NY/NJ to trade in my car(s) and pick up the new one. I'm a pain in the *** NY'er when it comes to making significant purchases like this, and the first vette I bought from Mike I took up a lot of his time that he happily spent with me to make the experience smooth, but it established mutual trust and the next 3 cars I bought from him were even easier.

Anyone can call you to tell you that "your car status changed from x to y today wahoooo!!" That's easy. What Mike brings to the table is over 40+ years of experience, stellar reputation, and contacts within GM/Chevrolet at his disposal. For example, my '17 GS developed paint problems between the fascia and front fenders a couple of months after I took delivery. I took it into my local Chevy dealership to get it fixed and they only offered to "touch it up". I called Mike to see if he could help and in under 24 hours he had spoken with one of his very senior contacts at the BG plant (!), opened a high priority service case with Chevy and had a brand new factory painted fascia on it's way to my local dealer's body shop for me. And when that one showed up damage from shipping, he had another one sent. I didn't have to beg or make a big deal out of it, I simply called Mike and asked if he could help. And he took it from there. The service manager at my local place commented to me after the new fascia was installed " You must have some serious contacts within GM". He was shocked when I said nope, all of this was orchestrated by the guy I bought the car from.

So if you want someone who will take the journey with you, but more importantly be there for post-sale support, you buy from Mike Furman."

Hello Mike,

Another busy week for you. Congratulations to all the new owners, especially Bebe. Great story.

Thanks sharing for the photos. As always there are a lot of great photos. Since I am a big aerospace buff, especially from the 60s and 70's, I will go with the men from Apollo 12.

Have a great week.

This is my Torch Red 2017 Stingray 2LT, 7M, NPP exhaust with the black carbon flash trim & black wheels. Ordered new from Mike Furman.

Mike Furman -- Noel and I had a blast yesterday on our way back to Richmond, with my 2017 Torch Red Stingray purchased from you AND her new 2019 Elkhart Lake Blue Stingray she bought yesterday. Despite encountering heavy traffic in the usual places above Fredericksburg, we tag-teamed our way through it. I managed to get home, put my Corvette back in the garage and hop into my daily driver. I made it to work with 5 minutes to spare! Noel ran some errands with her new Stingray and it will be in her garage by tonight.

Thanks for meeting us so early yesterday and having us on the road in a little over an hour.......something unheard of at most other dealerships. Her beautiful blue 2019 Stingray was ready to go, shined up nicely and had a full tank of gasoline.

Well done, sir!!

My girlfriend's beautiful 2019 Stingray 1LT. The blue color + the black wheels & trim is amazing. It has the NPP exhaust and the A8 transmission.

Have to say. Once the widebody's came out I never give the standard C7s a second look.... the verts have a nice shape to them but the coupes became kind of mundane with the presence of the GS and Z06 and now ZR1...

Something about that Elkhart Lake Blue with the black wheels just hits the spot right... nice spec. Even without the rear spoiler, it is gorgeous and interesting to me.

And you can't go wrong with Mike that's for sure.

Here's my choice. Great shot of a classy car.

Although the upcoming picture of our 19 Shadow Gray coupe outside the museum in a week and a half may take over the top spot. Thank you, Mike for making the purchase of our next Corvette a very easy and pleasant experience.

80 year old Bebe with the 7 speed manual is the favorite for the week.
Little old lady from Pasadena. Go granny go.
Great story.

Awesome pictures as usual.

Looking forward to meeting you on Thursday to pick up my new one that came in this past Tuesday.

And this is why I hate shopping center parking lots, hope the driver was OK and that the classic was restorable ....

Yep; my girlfriend was browsing on-line at Corvettes from several dealers - but THAT one just jumped right out at her. It complements my Torch Red 2017 Stingray quite well. It is great to be a two-Corvette family. I would have ordered my 2017 in the Laguna Blue, but GM discontinued it after 2016 - much of my reason for getting red. The Admiral Blue just did not float my boat.

Now that the Elkhart Lake Blue came out, it really just POPS! The car just looks awesome and, although I am a fan of manual transmissions, it is still quite spry with the A8. My girlfriend likes manuals too, but the color & wheel combination overrode that preference. Now that she drove it a lot yesterday, she did say that it is easier to drive and less stressful in heavy traffic. We now have the best of both worlds, so to speak.

Regarding the wide-body cars, we both prefer the "narrower" look of the Stingray over the huge Grand Sport and Z06. The smaller spoiler - to us - has a nicer look to it and doesn't seem gaudy. I know that probably puts us in the minority of Corvette owners, but to each his own. Just the fact that we finally were able to both have a car like this was a major milestone in itself. They are both the first Corvettes for us (my 2017 and her 2019) and it is a good idea for every couple to have their "thing." Maybe we found ours. Haha!!

I look forward to seeing next week's "Furman Photos" and more smiling faces of new Corvette owners. It is also wonderful to take a trip back in time with those classic photos of old cars, old buildings, etc.
