Don't have enough information to tell. If you live in an extremely hot environment then the battery could be toast after 3 or 4 years. Have you let it discharge completely in the past? That will also accelerate the deterioration. Best to have it checked out. I monitor the health of the battery, charging, and starting systems of all my vehicles regularly with my Midtronics PBT 300. Best $250 I ever spent on a maintenance device. Takes about 2 minutes to check the battery and other systems. No guessing or wondering.

You can drive over to your favorite auto parts store and have the battery tested. They can test the battery in or out of the car.Batteries tend to work until they don't - so yes, the battery could be bad.

If you plan to remove the battery yourself, here is a good document to read first:

Good luck.

Yeah, probably the battery. I've seen them "check" okay at stores and still fail. I had to have a big name store put a battery in another vehicle to prove it was a goner despite what their equipment told them about it. It failed in the other car, too... surprise! All the best.

Btw, do clean the battery terminals, too. I forgot, that was the only problem with a friend's recently.

Good advice to take the car to an auto parts store or even a dealer and get it checked for proper operation. If the battery is OK, could be some other component of the charging system.

It only does that when i drive it hard. I drive it pretty often and it start normal if i drive normal. Plus my car is tuned along with header.

Would recommend a 'load test' as others have suggested.
Why not simply cut to the chase & replace battery?
C6/7 are notoriously tough on batteries, and the older they are the weaker they get.
If sluggish starting isn't solved issue wasn't battery, that much will be apparent.
But then we'd know what it isn't.

If you have to ask then it is time to get a new one. Don't chance it or cheap out.

That's often the problem. When I had my auto parts stores you wouldn't believe how many times my folks went out to do battery tests to find only a little corrosion on a terminal causing the issue.

That is my pic/text install PDF with some tricks re getting the carpet out without ripping the carpet, getting the Power Board off the battery, etc.

I bought an AGM battery with 25% more CCA (cold cracking amps.)
