Default A/S tires?

Question for all you MPSS A/S+ ZP tire owners.

Do you notice any or much performance difference between the OEM ZP tires and your michelin A/S ZP tires? specifically ...hard aggressive or as a gentlemen would say "spirited" street driving.

I just switched from my conti DWS06 A/S non run flats to my MSPP ZP tires for the summer and the difference is massive. I don't like how big of a difference it is when switching

Honestly the DWS06 tires grip WAY WAY better in all conditions and are quieter of course but the car just becomes so soft..... i really miss how firm the OEM tires are, I guess i am looking for a much more firm A/S tire to run all year.

Going to find out in just a while - plan to put a set of the A/S 3+ tires on mine.

Do you have 18/19s or 19/20s. Non run flats have much softer sidewalls than run flats. Even greater difference on the larger sidewalls of the 18/19s.

I couldn't tell much difference between the OEM tires and my A/S + ZPs. I still take turns at 1G and floor the gas pedal from a dead stop. Feels just like the OEMs and grips good on the peel out. They handle good in all temperatures. I'm sure there is a little bit of a performance trade off from the OEMs, but I can't tell.

On the street there will be very little difference in performance. I will be swapping my Cup 2s for them soon.

I have not noticed any difference in spirited driving, other than having much more confidence in cold/wet conditions.

This is why I want them. Don’t want to worry about temps in the Fall when we have the cool dry days in Oregon.

Same here in seattle....This is why i bought the DWS06 and they grip like crazy in all temps / rain or cold weather and are very quiet. I really have to push the car to get them loose but the car is much softer overall, They are a very very good tire though.

The problem i find with the OEM ZP is they have horrible grip on the streets around here in just about any temp or condition.

BUT i really like how firm they are, much less body roll and way better turn in. Sounds like the A/S+ is a great compromise without loosing that tight feel the OEM tires give.... I guess i screwed up on buying the conti's.

I just switched over too. I have not had a chance to try them on wet roads, but I do not notice anything on dry. By the way, what air pressure are you all running in your A/S3 ZPs?

The A/S run flats are a great choice for more versatility in weather and low temps. Also eliminates the “tire hop” when turning at low speeds.

Disagree. I still experience it if the roads (parking lot) is wet

19/20 2018 Z51...yeah i get all that, i bought the DWS06 non run flats knowing i would be sacrificing some handling for better year round traction & no tire "chatter" unfortunately its a bit more handling loss than id prefer. ( non run flats are lighter too and that's a plus in my book )

Sometimes you have to try things on your own and not just rely on or go by what other say online.

This time i prolly should have followed the crowd and paid a few more bucks for the michelin A/S + zp's
