Default 5/26/19~3 R8C and #9 Tommy Milner/Barn Finds~ Loaded with pics~Mike Furman@Criswell

~Corvette Summer is officially in full swing. This past Thursday the 23rd was interesting...I wrote 4 C8 deals, 4 C7 Factory orders,
delivered 1 Corvette on sight, 1 Corvette delivery at the Museum and 1 Corvette delivery via courtesy delivery in California.
Now you know why I don't answer the house phone at home! July 26th starts my 42nd year selling and enjoying Corvettes.
*My Corvette dedicated web site shares a ton of info along with several "How To" videos. Share it with your fellow Corvette
enthusiasts...you never know when it could be of some help. www.corvettefurman.com

~Below are some great pics of the Corvette that started my love of Corvettes and got me into Corvette sales. When and if I ever
have a big garage I'd like to have a 1978 Indy Pace Car tucked away for nostalgic reasons.

~A few years back on an early Sunday morning I was crossing the Potomac on the General Jubal A Early Ferry in my 2016 Z06.
Along comes an elderly fellow with his 1930 Ford that he bought in 1959 for $95! This car was all original and he truly does drive it to Church on Sundays!

~Some delivery pics and stories from this past week.

~Duane P. of Sebastopol, California sure knows how to order his very first Corvette. He called me up a few months ago and ordered a 2019 Grand Sport Cpe Tommy Milner Driver Series which is Elkhart Lake Blue and he received car #9!
I had it drop shipped for Courtesy delivery to his local Chevrolet dealer in Davis, California.
Equipment list: Auto transmission, 2LT Pkg, and the Tommy Milner C7R Driver’s Series Pkg which includes black wheels with red stripe, Jake logo center caps, Red calipers, silver dual length stripe, GS Heritage Pkg, Red fender stripes, and red seat belts.
The word at the Corvette Plant is that the 4 drivers are in competition with each other to see which driver cars get produced more! Stay tuned. Congrats Duane on a stunning first Corvette.

~Evan R. of Cincinnati, Ohio got on my ZR1 list a long time ago and his patience paid off. We put together his Black 2019 Corvette ZR1 order 2 months ago and this past week he took delivery at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY.
Equipment list: 7 Spd manual tr, 3ZR Pkg, Black Interior with Competition Seats, Red calipers, Satin Graphite Wheels, R8C Museum Delivery, ZTK Track Performance Pkg, and Red calipers. This 755 hp Corvette is a stunner!

~Carman P. of Bryceville, Florida called me 6 weeks ago as he follows my delivery posts. I gave him a sight unseen trade value for his 2017 Z06 Convt with 1,500 miles predicting it would have 2,300 miles by the time he arrived to pick up his 2019 Z06 Convt....only change is the 17 was an Auto trans and the new 19 has a 7spd manual transmission. Carman and his son Joe drove up the 750 miles to complete the deal and exchange Corvettes. Carman Factory ordered his new Arctic White Z06 Convt with: Navigation/PDR, 2LZ Pkg and the Black microfiber insert interior Pkg.

~Rick C. of Midland, Georgia called me up this week as he picked out a Torch Red Grand Sport off of my Corvette dedicated web site. We completed the deal in minutes and made an appt for him and his wife Robin to fly up from Georgia this week to take delivery.
They arrived on time and had them in and out under 90 minutes. Ricks goal was to own a Corvette as it’s been his 42 year dream. Back in 1977 he bought a Firebird instead of the more expensive Corvette. Rick still owns that 77 Firebird and now he owns his very first Corvette.
Equipment list: Two-tone Gray/Black Interior, Auto transmission, Red calipers, machine faced wheels, Navigation/PDR and 2LT Pkg. Fun was had by all!

~John and Terri S. of Magnolia, Delaware are frequent Patrons at the Corvettes of Carlisle Event every August. That’s where we first met. So when John wanted to purchase Corvette #7, his very first new Corvette...he looked at my corvette dedicated website and found his new Arctic White 2019 Z06. I gave him a sight unseen trade value for his 13,000 mile 2015 Z06 over the phone and the deal was made. Equipment list: 7 Spd manual, Black Interior, 2LZ Pkg, Navigation/PDR and much more.

~Manual A. of Rantoul, Illinois contacted me 8 weeks ago about placing a factory order for a Long Beach Red Z06 Convt. With Spice Red interior and Spice Red top. This past week he and his wife had the Red Carpet rolled out for them at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. Manual is a super nice guy and he ordered a stunning combo. I enjoyed putting his order together! Equipment list: auto transmission, CF hood stinger stripe, chrome wheels, 3LZ PKG and much more!

~Bill N. of Plano, Texas found me on the various Corvette sites and called me 8 weeks ago to place his special order for a Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic 2019 Stingray Convt. With two-tone gray interior and Spice Red top.
Yesterday was delivery day at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY as he chose option code R8C. Equipment list includes 7 spd manual trans, magnetic select ride, performance exhaust, chrome wheels, two-tone seats,
2LT pkg, and red seat belts.

Bob G. of Eugene, Oregon took Museum Delivery last week of a stunning Blade Silver with Kalahari interior 2019 Z06 cpe.
Below are some great outside pics of his new ride. Thank you, John, for the referral!

~Larry of Urbana, MD contacted me last week about a Sebring Orange Z06 he viewed on my Corvette dedicated web site. This past week he decided it was time to have 650HP in his garage.
Equipment list: Auto transmission, Black calipers, 1LZ Pkg, and Black Wheels.

~Another good Corvette customer took delivery of a family vehicle and I have been meaning to post his picture.

~The Frank Class Corvette Barn Find and throwback section...Please post up your favorite picture!

Have a great week and Save the Wave!

Default Sunday Photos

These two photos do it for me. Second week in a row that I chose C3 pictures. Congrats to all the new C7 owners!!

Perhaps my C3 favoritism was caused by your beautiful 1978 Corvette "pace car" leading the thread today. I bet one would look great in your garage too.

My girlfriend's new 2019 is still in the garage with fewer than 200 miles on it so far, but we are taking both of our Stingrays out for a drive today. We are also driving both of them in a Memorial Day parade tomorrow near Richmond. Our Corvette club is participating......along with Mustang, street rod and Harley clubs. What a great way to honor the fallen!

All of us gave some, but some truly gave all.

Have a wonderful day, Mr. Furman!!

GMike wishing you a Great Memorial Day as we remember those that served our Great Nation and gave all for the freedom we cherish! This pic was another appropriate tribute to this Memorial Day!

I also selected this pic of a very strange Corvette! That looks like Zora on the right between the two other gentlemen!

All the new C7 owners selected great looking Vettes, but I must say Duane P's Tommy Milner GS; Evan R's Black absolutely WICKED ZR1, and Manual A's Long Beach Red Z06 convertible with Spice Red interior and top each really flip my switch, and they are not even Torch Red, which you know is my favorite Corvette color!

Great story about the guy with the '30 Ford.
Mike. I remember when these first came out. I would drool over the new '78 Silver Anniversary Editions and Pace Cars in the show rooms and lots at Malcolm Konners, Preakness and Hawthorne Chevy. I was 18 and couldn't afford a $13-$14K Corvette so I bought a low mile used '74 that year for $5,700. By comparison my friend bought a brand new base '78 Z28 Camaro for about what I paid for my '74 Corvette then.

Stunning.....

And I've told you this story before, but a friend of mine in Denver bought 14 of the 78 Indy Pace Cars when they came out. He sold 12 of them a year later for almost triple what he paid and kept 2 of them and put them up on blocks. I have no idea if he has them today or if he sold them. He offered to sell me one of the 12 for MSRP but I couldn't afford it back then. Have a great weekend Mike.
