Best way to protect paint on new Corvette?
There are probably posts on this, but being new I figured I'd ask flat out. What is (in your opinion) the best finish protection for the car or what are you using - if anything? And where did you get it and how is it working for you? When did you put it on?

I'd say having a garage is the best protection. And then keep it protected with whatever you wish to use. There are a huge number of products available and you'll probably have a bunch mentioned here. I'm old school I guess, and use clay, polish, and paint sealant. Not that old school I guess: in the old days we just washed and waxed.

I agree that garaging a car and using a parking deck will really protect your car just from past experience. But a body shop guy recommended wrapping the car in plastic and now I know what he meant after googling some of this stuff. He poo pooed waxing and said plastic was the way to go. But it looks like it can get costly if you do the whole car. I have to research this. I do want to protect against highway stone chips.

Xpel Ultimate Pro is what I have on my car. Had it installed from a certified vendor in St. Louis. I bought the car used last November with 2600 miles on it and I had the film installed a month later when I was able to drive the car to the installer.

Ok - I barely have this car a week. I want the dealer to finish this slight paint defect a talked about in another post. He is layering some touchup. Then I want to protect the paint.

All these cars look nice. Which begs the next question. Has anyone experienced problems the install or application such as damage by the installation - not meeting protection expectations - dirt trapped under the film - problems with the installer -etc?
And if you didn't do anything like this - how is the finish holding up?

If you do a ton of hway driving PFF is a must.Plus mud guards, skirts.
Or save your film cash.Keep distance from the car in front of you and don't hover around trucks.Pass them suckers quick.
Got over 16k miles 1 chip on hood.No peace of mind.Gonna have to film...I keep thinking that....Spend big bucks or keep distance...ZOOM,ZOOM! Next Ride

Xpel,,Suntek ..A no brainer. You get it and forget it. Forget those fish net bras. sand and dirt can get under those bras and rub fine scratches in the paint. waste of time and effort. If your spending 60 , 70 or 80 thousand dollars for a new Corvette why worry about an extra 2 or 3 K to protect your paint..Who wants to fool arould with touch up paint or blob systems.

Absolutely nothing will keep the car perfect except for not driving it. That said, I had the front, mirrors, rockers, wheel arches covered with Suntek. 18,000 miles later there are some nasty gouges in the film that would have been REALLY nasty gouges in the paint. You just can't avoid crap kicked up by other cars and trucks.
And what the hell did they make these cars out of? I've never seen anything that attracts more dust. It's a literal dust magnet.
