Default ~6/9/19 *1 of 1 ZR1 delivery, *C7's keep rolling, *C8's Reveal.*Mike Furman@Criswell*

~**My official GM invite is completed and all Plane/Hotel reservations are done for the C8 Next Generation Corvette Reveal to be held in Southern California July 18th, 2019. I had many conversations with Zora Arkus Duntov during the years 1978-1990 as he attended the Malcolm Konner Chevrolet Corvette show each Summer as the guest of the Konner family along with Larry Shinoda and many other GM luminaries. Zora Duntov passed away in 1996 but a huge nod to him up in Heaven as I am sure Zora is smiling down upon the Corvette world. His famous quote as he retired from GM to his successor in 1975 was ”Build the mid-engine Corvette.” Watch the you tube video for the 48 second C8 reveal teaser.
https://www.corvetteblogger.com/2019...rvette-teaser/

~As far as the C8, next Generation Corvette goes...to answer about 40 emails I received this week...Ordering "will not" begin the day after the reveal. I wouldn't expect the first 2020 C8 orders to be placed until September+/- timeframe and that is just my educated guess. When will 2020 C8 Production begin? Mid-Winter is my expectations. When will they ship out to dealers? As in the past, I am sure GM will not release the C8 until all quality control processes are completed.
This is my 42nd year selling Corvettes and my 5th Corvette Generation change...this Summer will be Historic! *Please note that I will be out of the office July 17th-23rd attending the C8 Reveal and Spring Mountain Corvette Owners School
with a group of my customers from all around the USA. CorvetteFurman.com

*Above: The Konner Family with the first 1984 Corvette to arrive at Konner Chevrolet Paramus, NJ.

Above: Mrs. Florence Konner, Zora, and Elfie Duntov and Gary Konner. Both of these pictures were taken in the upstairs Corvette Salon at Konner Chevrolet.

~This weeks delivery post.

~Mike B. of Endwell, NY has been following me on the various Corvette Blogs /forums and decided to call me to place his factory order for a Blade Silver 2019 Grand Sport Cpe. I gave Mike a sight unseen trade value on his Long Beach Red 2017 Grand Sport and we made the deal in one quick phone call. Last week he came down 290 miles just to drop off his trade in as he went on to a Tennis Tourney. As luck would have it his new Grand Sport arrived while he was here. Mike had our body shop paint the base of the rear spoiler Silver to match the car and it came out perfect! Equipment list: Adrenaline red two-tone interior, 3LT Pkg, Red GS Heritage center stripe, Red calipers, Auto transmission, chrome wheels, GS logo center console lid, GS Heritage pkg and much more! It was a pleasure to meet Mike as he has great vision which can be seen in his stunning new Grand Sport!

~Local Maryland businessman took delivery this past week of the only 2019 ZR1 produced in this color combo. Beautiful Shadow Gray 2019 ZR1 Convt with Auto trans, Chrome wheels, 3ZR pkg, gray interior, red calipers, gray top, chrome badge pkg and much more!
This ZR1 is a car show all by itself!

~ Germán and Lucy S. Of Scottsdale, Arizona factory ordered a new 2019 Camaro SS and a 2019 Corvette Z06 from me and I had them both drop shipped for courtesy delivery to the local Phoenix area Chevrolet dealer. Only a mere 2,400 miles in between us but the internet is a great way to earn business and more important we have become friends. I first met Germán at the LA Auto show when the ZR1 was revealed in the US. Last month they took delivery of the new Camaro SS and this past week they picked up the new Elkhart Lake Blue/Black interior Z06 coupe. All photo credits go to Germán as he is great with a camera unlike me.
Equipment list: Visible carbon fiber hood insert, visible carbon fiber ground effects, visible carbon fiber roof, chrome badge pkg, carbon fiber instrument panel, Auto transmission, chrome wheels, Z06 logo console, 3LZ pkg and much more!

~Duane and Lisa G. Of Highlands Ranch, Colorado received via Plycar Trucking their Elkhart Lake Blue 2019 Z06 this past week.
They sent me some pics to share...and a note below.
"Here’s some photo's of the Vette that really captures the beauty of the car and the Rocky Mountain landscape in the background.

Thank you for all of your outstanding customer service!!" Duane and Lisa G.

~Larry K. of Westchester, Pennsylvania contacted me this past week as a previous customer of mine referred him my way. Larry picked out of stock an Arctic White 2019 Z06 cpe with two-tone Gray/Black interior.

He took the almost 3 hr ride down today to finalize the deal and drive his new Corvette home to join his C5 in the garage.
Equipment list: Navigation /PDR, Auto transmission, 10 spoke Blade wheels and 2LZ pkg.

~Mark and Cristina N. of Fairfax, Virginia have been following me on the various Corvette forums so they made an appt to come in today to ”just” see a Corvette Z06. They last ordered a 2008 Corvette and took delivery at the Museum.

Yesterday their "Look" became..."driving away" in a Shadow Gray 2019 Z06 and I believe Mark is still pinching himself. His C5 at home will keep company with his new C7...the C6 is out of the picture after someone hit it.
Equipment list: 2LZ pkg, 7 spd manual, black wheels, black interior, red seat belts, red calipers, CF instrument pkg and Navigation /PDR.

~Some others that left the yard...

My brother has been gone a long time but Chet was his childhood friend and he still seeks me out from New Jersey to buy his vehicles...and play Golf.

Pictured above is Criswell's Corvette service lane on any given day of the week.

Usually I scroll through your entire post and play the game of "is this pic better than the last one I liked" but today this one just stopped me in my scrolling tracks,. It just screams classic Corvette.

Thanks for another week of some stunning photos. Congrats to the new owners, I hope they all find the joy of their new Mike Furman Corvettes as I have. That low wing ZR-1 delivery is a really cool looking car. I also hope the C8 is a smashing success, for you and for Chevrolet. The C7 hardly gets any love as people's favorite picture of the week, but for some reason I really like the composition of this one. Carry on.

Thanks for another great batch of Sunday photos. Congrats to the new owners and a special salute to the guy with the "before and after" photos with his 1970 Corvette!

My favorite photo this week is the white C3 - just a good clean, basic coupe looking nice & ready to drive. I guess it is roughly a 1980 or so.

Have a great week, Mr. Furman!

Pure and simple beauty in a white C3 coupe.

Lemans is a must happen Bucket list item for many and I was fortunate to have won the only two National Corvette Sales contests that GM ever had. (2011 and 2012)

I couldn't agree more, if there's only 1 race that a race fan attends in their lifetime, in my opinion, it should be Le Mans. I've been 3 times, all in the 90's, and each time was an incredible experience.

Mike, sorry to learn you lost your Brother. I lost mine back in 1997. May they rest in peace in Heaven!

Something about this pic...I have labeled it "The Mysterious '56 Vette Woman".

Have a great week!

That is a famous photograph by Gordon Parks named "Evening Wraps at Dawn" from the mid 50's.

You earned that trip.

LeMans is on my bucket list! And another bucket list of mine is visiting the Normandy area to see the Allied cemetaries, museums, etc. I can visit two bucket list places in one trip.

There is no doubt I will go.
