Default Michelin AS 3

Wondering on Grand Sport how the Michelin AS3 compare to the Super Sports as far as road noise and throwing rocks
Thanks

Do a search here. Many reports on those tires, most people seem to love them for the reasons you are wanting to fix.

And I'm one of 'em.

Well worth the change

I am switching to the AS3 as fast as my stock SS wear down. I really dont care for the tire hoping at low speed or the performance on wet surface.

I switched to Michelin AS3 run flats with less than 100 miles on my 2019 Grand Sport. Tire noise is less. Tire "hopping" at low speed is virtually nonexistent. Better in all types of weather, especially below 40 degrees. Wish I had put them on my previous vette (2015 z51).
I also went with monoblock forged wheels at the same time to minimize potential wheel bending/cracking problems reported on Z06s and Grand Sports

They are the tire I plan on putting in my car before cold weather hits here again. Lots of threads here on the AS3+ tires.

Within 50 miles of picking up my GS, I replaced the OEM tires with PS3+ A/S and sold the OEMs to a guy in SoCal.

Even with shipping the OEM tires, my net cost was $100

I suffered the P Cups for 18 months and finally put a set of A/S 3+ on this April - a vast improvement for a DD

I went from OEM ZP MPSS to AS3+. The AS3 is a quieter, smoother ride, in my opinion, than the MPSS ZP. I don't know about the non-ZP MPSS. During my research for a new set of tires for my new wheels, I read or watched someone say that the new PS4(S) non-ZP has a stiffer sidewall for less lateral give in turns resulting in more precise turns. I think it was a you tube video done by some performance shop owner possibly shilling for Michelin but maybe it was an unbiased opinion. who knows. in any case AS3 has a higher treadwear rating and will last longer than the MPSS, all things being equal.

I just acquired a 2017 Sting Ray with 3060 miles on it
The previous owner took off the Mechlens A/S and replaced them with BF Goodrich all weather.
I like the rims the BF Goodrich are on, but with everything, I heard the Michelin are preferred but they are summertime tires.
What a dilemma.

The A/S means All Season. They are NOT summer only....

Had them on my GS, have them on my Z06. They're better than the Sport Cups in every way unless you're on a drag strip.

I've had mine for about 500 miles and no complaints. I really look forward to driving in my first downpour with them

reviews on the PS4S are saying wet traction performance is much improved over the outgoing Pilot Sport. Something to think about if the reason for going to AS3+ has nothing to do with snow, tread wear life and the like.

One non-scientific demo:

Switched to the AS3 run flatss on my Z51 and really like them. There is still some road noise there but it's tolerable.

I passed through 40 miles of heavy downpour in my Z and the AS3 did extremely well, no hydroplaning issues at all and was able to maintain highway speeds
