Default Missing C7 GS body parts from factory

I took delivery of my ordered 2019 GS a couple of weeks ago. Really excited about it and love the car. So excited, that I just noticed that they failed to install the carbon flash side rocker panels on the car and the front spoiler lip extension at the factory. SMH. Has anyone else had this happen with a GS? I will say the lack of the carbon flash side rocker panels coupled with the flared fenders of the GS really gives you the tucked waist look of the 68-82 Vettes though. I shot a text to my sales person and they are trying to get an answer. Iím sure they will be getting the parts and installing them at the dealersís body shop. Anyway, here is picture of what the GS looks like without those parts.

Seems to be happening often at smaller volume dealers. The parts are shipped to the parts department separate from the car and will be linked via the VIN. Personally I like the look w/o the skirts like the 2015-2016 base aero cars. I would install the front lip, but leave the rockers off. Those have to be drilled to go on and once you drill you can't take them off as the surface is visible with them off so you'd see the holes.

Your splitter and side skirts are in a large box in the dealer's parts department. They are not factory installed.

I believe those parts are shipped separately to the dealer for them to install.

I think some things are becoming obvious about this dealer to the OP...

Your dealer must not sell many Vettes. Apparently they didn't perform a PDI either.

I think the side skirts look great and they also keep the rocks and small road trash from messing up your rocker panels.

Makes ya wonder... as installing the skirts and splitter are part of the PDI checklist, I would be really concerned as to the dealer overall.....

Get the side skirts on ASAP. The tires on the GS will throw rocks like crazy at the sides of your car - without the side skirts on, you are going to destroy the sides of your car.

Nice, I was torn between the LB Red (your car) and the one I purchased. I just wanted to keep more busy cleaning and buffing so I picked this one !!

I'd just contact your dealer and let them know, I expect they will take care of it.
If they don't sell many C7s they may just not have known. Of course that's no excuse. Even though there's some very knowledgeable C7 salespeople and techs out there GM does a poor job in my opinion of training in general.

I would add GM Mud Flaps with the Skirts. You will be pissed if you don't.
I believe your panels are purposely left off so no damage is done during loading and unloading of your Beautiful Car.
Make sure you get them suckers
Or if for some reason a unbelievable excuse comes up.If missing? I wouldn't be Happy..
Upgrade to the next level.Stage 2 or 3.Worth more money.Maybe you would rather have Full Length Shirts and a Larger,Better Looking,Fancy Front splitter?
They just ain't gonna give these away But,You have been INCONVENIENCED.

Default Thanks for the info and the advice

As usual, the people on this forum know their business. The parts were indeed in a box at the dealer waiting for installation at delivery. They missed them. I also agree that the car looks really good without the side rocker panels, but I believe the advice on installation saving the doors and rocker panels given the larger tires and wheels is the way to go. Love the look without them but Iím guessing that the admiration would fade with a bunch of paint chips.

Yeah, I would highly encourage you to install the side skirts. Besides liking the looks, I think they really protect the sides of the car.

I agree.. Very nice color. 3 weeks ago, I was emailing multiple dealers telling then what I wanted. It was a simple request. I told them I do not want a black, white or red car. 3 dealers told me they had nothing on the lot but those colors, but could order a "custom" color. I did find a Shadow Gray Metallic and worked out a price. Like you, I'm a happy camper.

I also have a choice when I drive... C3 or C7.

I installed the ASC composite rock guards on the front. The come in Carbon Flash, Carbon fiber or black crinkle. Go to ASCcomposite.com to check out. They go on easily and look great. JMHO.

OP, great looking Corvette, love that color. Like others have said, you want side skirts. Contact your dealer to have them installed. I just purchased a set for my Z51 and will be installing them soon.
