Theres a reason BMW offered a all inclusive warranty...reliability sucked, same with Mercedes. German cars have some of the worst quality, sub par, under American cars. It is fun spanking expensive foreign cars with a lowly Chevy....lol

Excellent point. I see pickup trucks daily whose MSRP was likely $20K more than my GS.

On the dealership lots.... trucks that have had extensive dealer-installed lift kits and wheel/tire combinations that pump the price up another 10K or so.

Go to Chevrolet's site and build a tarted-up Suburban. You can easily exceed $80K MSRP. Those expensive Suburbans and GMC Yukons are everywhere in my area - rich soccer moms driving the family school bus all day. Your Corvette is nothing special to the dealer, although it is less common and often requires dealing with a ... shall we say... entitled owner. Don't be that owner!

To the OP: Hope you get it worked out quickly, and let us know the fix!

Hopefully just a simple adjustment will be required to get it back to working properly. But, if they tell you how they get the hood open, let us know.

I love my just a Chevy. I hope you get the issue resolved. I'm sure it's something minor.

If your Corvette is just a Chevy you should get something else. Life is too short.

Did he mean GM would go bankrupt because it would cost so much to make the cars more reliable like McLaren, or they'd go bankrupt because of the warranty costs to fix poor quality cars like McLaren?
As you can tell, I don't own a McLaren...

LOL. I'd be curious to know the answer to that as well.

Crap like this can happen to any car. The struts on my '17 Porsche will no longer keep the rear hatch up in the open position. Take it back to the dealer and have the $8/hr Skippy fix it and call it a day.

I think you need to sell your Chevy and spend much more money on a car because of the brand name. A BMW would be perfect for you!

Well If your friend feels that way then that’s good enough for me. Now I want to go buy a Neon SRT because I really value your friends opinions.

I quite literally build and restore and work on cars worth millions of dollars for a living and I’ll tell you this. I always say the more Ferrari’s and Lamborghini’s etc etc I work on, the more I realize that Honda’s are really well put together. You would be shocked to see some of the hack jobs from the factory of a car that costs more than my house. I have 0 complaints about my Chevy.

How true...how true...how true! If only people had enough experience to understand that instead of just bitching!

Hello,
"When you say more than my house" My father-in-law and I built my home in 1972, from the ground up (14 mos. ) and it cost me $16,000.00 back then, my wife's C R V Touring cost twice that and the 'Vette cost almost 5 times that
