High gloss body color GS fender flares
Ordering these in high gloss Long Beach Red and installing them on my new GS is the best decision I’ve made on additions to the car. They look awesome and they are easy to install. Really love them.

Look better than stock, but GM still should have ponied-up and made new fenders like in the back.

Overall very good. One fit perfectly and one needed just a hair of a shaving on one end. My body shop guy says they look like they purchased the factory replacement OEM parts and then put body filler on them and buffed them smooth and painted them. Corvette Mods has several options on ordering them. They have carbon fiber, body color painted on the pebbled finish and then the high gloss version. You get to choose the type and then the menu gives you the factory colors as choices. They are custom painted so it takes about 30 days from order to get them to you. I think GM should put these on the cars anyway. Black plastic just not a good look on such a great car.

On the fence... I’ve seen them painted carbon flash and liked them, but unsure about body color. Do you have any profile pics of the entire car. Nice mod nonetheless...

All Corvette exterior features and surface shapes are designed for maximum performance and great aesthetics. Around the front wheel openings, both the C6 (Z06, GS and ZR1) and C7 (GS and Z06) feature what you are calling spats arcing down the forward edge. These features create high pressure on the front/top and low pressure on the back/underside resulting in down force and evacuation of hot air from the wheel opening. The aerodynamic studies for both C6 and C7 independently proved their value. To work, they need to be a very specific shape - specifically a sharp break in the surface where the spat meets the fender. I have been asked many times why we couldn't just form that shape from the front fender so it would be all one painted piece instead of looking "tacked on". We looked at that and decided it looked pretty bad when painted bright colors. Your eye is immediately drawn to that feature and it does not look integrated or graceful. Naturally the question is, "If it is so important, why don't we see it on the C7.R race car?" The reason is that the race car sits so low to the ground it can take advantage of even more efficient aerodynamic features such as an "underwing" that sits beneath the front splitter. "Ok, then why don't we see it on other street cars?". Well, actually you do. There are several, typically very serious performance cars that have similar features such as the Porsche GT3RS.

If you like them, that is all that matters.
I am kind of torn on the look - in a way I like them body color as it is different, but the black stock finish does allow for the spats to show up on the car better with the contrast from the exterior color.
