Default Does your wife like/want a wind deflector?

Do you have a Windrestrictor wind deflector and does it work well enough to keep your wife happy with the top down?

My wife has had hair long hair forever. In our C6's, first C7 Roadster, and our now GS Roadster she is fine with a ball cap, and her hair tied back. The buffeting is so little IMHO a wind deflector isn't needed. But, your wife should have the last say in your case. Happy wife............well you know how the rest goes. I've been married a long time, and I know with my dearest it's all about the hair.

Also, if this is your first convertible remember that the outside wind, and the speed it is blowing also has a lot to do with buffeting. A cross wind, and a deflector won't even help. I've learned that there is times we will never put the top down, i.e. going anywhere that her hair must not be mussed.

Totally not needed very little wind buffeting in the C7 Convertible. No complaints from the Wife or anyone else.

I agree and anyone who says it's needed is imagining it. Besides, what's up with wind deflectors tonight? That's two practically identical threads on a subject that rarely comes up.

I've driven top-down with windows up in the Jeep Wrangler. But, this just looks weird in a convertible car. Maybe because there are no big roll-cages unlike the Jeep where the windows-up doesn't stick out.

Wife and I have his and hers Corvette caps. She rolls her side window up. I don’t.

We don’t need an extra piece of crap tacked onto our gorgeous Vette with clean lines.

Anyone that says it does not work has not tried one.. It does cut down the buffeting/wind... I does not cut it completely and a cross wind it does nothing.. It is always windy here in OK, from 5 mph to 40 mph is a normal day here and it helps...

I could see how some could get a glare off it but I am 6.2 and look directly though it in the rear view mirror... This may have something to do with how much wind you get, the taller the person the more wind hits you...

Yes, it does work. I had one but the glare was very bad for me.
I guess the position of my seat caused excessive glare.

Wifey is not allowed to ride in the Corvette, BUT my side piece girlfriend actually prefers windows down.

How do they attach? I hope you don't have to screw them into your waterfall.
