Some body shops are unbelievable
I had my front bumper resprayed since it was chipping at the corners and it was paid by GM. I decided it would be a good idea to have them install my carbon flash badges as well and boy that was a mistake. They installed the ‘Corvette’ lettering crooked and about an inch higher then where it’s supposed to be. Also there is white paint on the center console and the floor mat/rug is absolutely filthy.
To their credit, they are ordering a new badge and will install it in the correct position. How the hell will they determine where that is? If it’s not absolutely perfect, it’s going to bug the hell out of me. Am I overthinking this? Any ideas?

The badges are literally peel and stick. If you're so worried about precise placement, install them yourself.

You'd be surprised at the level of care some of the body shop workers have.....or should I say lack of care. I had to take my Camaro SS Fifty Edition to a top rated GM owned body shop at the dealer for some work due to a incident in the rain. There was very minor body work and they ended up having to de-badge the front of the car and remove the hood decal. The work and paint job was flawless. However, the Fifty badges were not even on the car straight or at the same height side to side. On top of that, the hood decal was a 3 piece decal and the alignment was so far off I couldn't believe any of this passed "inspection". Long story short, I declined satisfactory completion to the body shop manager 3 times. Finally, they called a third party wrap company to come out and install the badges and hood vinyl. After that it was perfect. Car still looks flawless.
Anyhow, my point is the guy in the paint booth that gets paid a good wage likely has more care/experience than the new guy they task with affixing badges. Either way, the quality control should have caught that before even calling you. I blame the manager in these situations every time. It is his or her job to verify each car is finished correctly.

Not true with all body shops. I’m a Corvette owner AND work in a local body shop. When nice cars come to us they get extreme care. I watch over all of them and they get treated with the same care as my Z06.
All customer cars are treated like they’re our own. We want the customers to return when they need our services.

Honestly, I'd leave the lettering off. Looks way more clean. If you need to find out exactly where the letting goes, there is a thread on here that has the exact measurements.
I mean, yes, we get it, we know its a corvette. You dont need to spell it out for people

Burning Brakes
Never use a dealer without recommendations from someone you trust. I bought a new car once that had a shipping scratch they said they would fix. When I went to pick it up, they tried to give me the wrong car. Just like mine but not my car more miles. The car they tried to give me had a deep scratch on the hood. When they finally found my car and brought it to me, they had not fixed the problem, but they painted mr hood that was perfect before. Took months to get it fixed, in mean time dealership changed hands. Fire the whole body shop. New manager took care of problem and fixed it like new. Have a ‘15 Vette and a new Ford Explorer have had a couple of problems with both. Both dealer fixed the problems without a question. I think most are much better than in the past.

Fortunately, I have an excellent body shop nearby, I would trust them with my Corvette
