C7 frame production terminated
I was at a car show at home in Strathroy Ontario on wed night with my 2019 Corvette and 2 gentlemen approached separately and stated they worked at a local parts supplier and had built the last C7 aluminum frames last week .Apparently they also built the C6 frames at the same plant .

Very interesting since the C7 aluminum frame is manufactured in Bowling Green by GM, from parts made by outside suppliers.
The original C6 Z06 aluminum frame was built in Hopkinsville, KY by Dana Corp. using parts supplied by GM.
At the end of the C6's production, all the welding/riveting equipment was moved from Dana to Bowling Green and GM did the building of the C6 Z06 and ZR1's aluminum frame.
Perhaps the place they worked made some of the extrusions/stampings/hydroforming, etc parts that were supplied to GM and shipped to Bowling Green.

Perhaps more than one supplier ,they explained to me that the hydroformed portion is what is done here as that is their area of expertise in frame construction, sorry don't know much more about it.

No surprise at the news, but wonder how many cars are still scheduled to be built.

Vari-Form in Strathroy Ontario does manufacturer the hydroformed side rails of the frame that are then assembled in BG.

I wonder why your TPW is so far out. I gave my dealer my GM build order (from GM build your car site) 20 May, got TPW 7 days later (TPW 6/10). Car was built 6/10 & arrived at my local dealer (courtesy delivery) 6/13. Only 24 days from submitting order to arrival! Crazy 😜
