I guess I'm a waxer
I've read on the forums there seems to be a catagory for "waxers". Seems us waxers are not as legit as others. Well, I waxed my car the first time today. Very hot and humid today in South Texas. About 92 degrees with high humidity. Had every fan in my garage on.
Also, installed the factory splash guards, stage 3 spoiner ends and Z06 floor mats then went for a drive.
Not taking this too serious, just poking a little fun.
Now, what to do tomorrow. Probably take the wife out to dinner.

Gave the Vette a little attention and went for a cruise. Not a bad day at all in my book.

My girlfriend and I are a "Two Corvette" couple now. I have a Torch Red 2017 Stingray 2LT and she has a 2019 Elkhart Lake Blue Stingray 1LT. I have used up a lot of my Meguiar's waterless wash & wax on both of them recently.
Nothing like the look of a clean Corvette! We are taking a 100-mile road trip (each way) to go visit my cousins, my brother, my nephew and a few other members of the extended family. We are taking the blue one today and when we go for a ride tomorrow afternoon, we'll take the red one.
Save the wave!!

Being a waxer ... there are worse things in life...
Being a waxer also means that you have pride of ownership.
Be glad you did it, and can do it as often as necessary to keep your ride looking good.
The final step: make sure you complete your ownership duties --- go out for a good ride with your significant other to enjoy the full measure of owning your Corvette.

As far as 'legit' waxers go, I think I can be added to that group. Not only do I do the multi-bucket method, foam cannon, and rotate the washing of my microfibers, I even have an 8hp dryer motor mounted on my garage wall, so I can dry the car without making any contact.
When i wax or ceramic a car, it takes me a week, so I can be meticulous enough without getting frustrated and wanting to rush through any part of it.

I use to wax, but now I ceramic coated my Vette. I did such a good prep job that not much more shine came with the ceramic coatings. I applied two coatings using Amor Shield.

I drive my car try to avoid rainy days because what fiun is that. This car is special to me. It's my reward for hard work. I keep it clean. But if I'm busy and its dirty I dont stop what I'm doing to clean it...
Wacing this and my other vehicles when I have the time is like therapy. I enjoy it by hand or machine.
Oh well.
I do think that phrase is more geared toward those who pamper the car whether driving or at home. Maybe enter car shows as opposed to a Rally. Which I'm the latter. I hate car shows. I walk around for 20 minutes and I'm done. Only exception being Carlisle.
Some People just have to make themselves feel better making fun or poking at others. Shows they're really miserable inside.

Just finished my first time for ceramic coating. Always waxed before. Just wanted to try something new.

If you waxed the car and then took another car when you took the wife out to dinner....you are a waxer!

I'm a waxer too. I use Collinite insulator wax, using it for years!
