There are a lot of different brands out there. Personally, I use a Mobil 1. I'm curious what other use.

PF64 was used for my three free oil changes, but next Jan. when I start my DIY regimen I'll be using Fram Ultra XG12060 with the 22-psi bypass spec. They aren't locally available yet but hopefully by then they will be. Summit Racing sells them now.

Perhaps, perhaps not. However even if there is any slight different in quality between brands of oil filters it's not enough to make any measurable difference at all in your C7 engine over it's lifetime.
I base my opinion on what? Owning/operating a chain of auto parts stores for over 16 years, selling over a 1/2 million Fram, AC and Wix oil filters, touring all three factories multiple times, studying their engineering reports and QC statements.
Some believe that Fram is an inferior filter (and you can find same stated on the Internet, which is always correct, right? ) however I've changed oil in my 96 Toyota Tacoma every 5000>6000 miles since new only using Fram and it currently has 413,000 trouble-free miles on it and has never had the valve cover removed and it only burns about 1/4 quart of oil in 5000>6000 miles.
My point is that as long as you change your oil regularly to manufacturer specification and use a quality oil filter whether it be Wix, Fram, AC, Purolator or whatever it's not going to make any measurable difference in your performance or longevity of your engine. The quality and specification of oil used and frequency of change is FAR MORE important than which brand oil filter you use.

Available at Walmart along with the 5 quart jugs of Mobil 1 5W-30 dexos certified oil now at $22.88/jug. With the $12 Mobil rebate through September 2019 that's $10.88/5 quarts = $2.20/quart! Mobil now allowing 4 jugs! All done on the Net, no mailing anything.
My other reason for using AC PF64 is that is what GM recommends. If it fails and causes an engine failure GM will handle on warranty. Using XYZ brand, I'm sure if it fails they will geive you a new filter!
Odds of a filter failure with any brand are very low. BUT when a magazine tested and early C7 a filter failed and caused an engine failure.

I had posted a PDF on "How To" change oil in my 2008 C6. Posted a pic. One of my Product Managers had a Vette and came into my office and said you used a Fram filter! I had! He said didn't you read where one failed in a C6? I had not. Next oil change I switched to an AC and sent him a link to my new pic! After warrantee I might use something different but why take a chance. AC filters are fine.

AC Delco, I know it is the correct filter. I have used all the rest. I think all name brands are good but I don’t like Fram, have used them on multiple cars through the years and they seem to be harder to get off, pain in the butt. I don’t use them any more.

I use the OEM filters for every vehicles I own or have owned for decades.

Now that's one I've never heard before. I'm afraid that shortcoming is on whomever installed the filter, not Fram.

Pf64...

The PF64 is completely adequate. Cut open a PF64 and a Wix WL10290XP and you might decide to go with the Wix WL10290XP. I did.
