Is it likely that there will be big discounts on the C7 to unload them with the C8 presentation very soon?

The big dealers are giving 15% off right now from MSRP not including the $3k loyalty savings if it still applies. I would guess August incentives would be an amazing time to buy as the C8 has been announced and dealers have to get these corvettes off their lots to make room.

Yep near 20% if you qualify for loyalty discount. Without it, not too bad either. Nobody will beat the top 3 discounts unless they are trying to unload it.

Lets hope in July they offer some great rebates to everyone including some new buyers looking to jump in with the incentives offered to current owners as July would be a great time to implement it before the launch. When do the dealers typically find out what kind of rebates will be offered is it the last day of month or 1st day of month.

I really do not you will see much more in rebates then there is now. They will stop making the C7 in a few weeks so the inventory will just die off. The c8 will not be out until next year I believe.

If you want C7 act now , remember if you are buying out of stock you may not get all the features you want , i never got shadow gray metallic in MT /red interior / MSRC/2LT options when i was looking around at the dealer websites. I ordered the exact car i wanted.

The longer you wait the slimmer the pickings. They aren't going to get much cheaper IMHO, and it's better to spend a little more now to get what you want even if they do go down more. Check with our bigger forum vendors. Good luck on your search.

hey you stole my car...I have to say you have great taste. What you say is true...I searched 3 months looking for this car and had to travel 300 miles to get it. Of course, having to go used (budget of 55,000) did not help matters...but looking back looking everyday was part of the fun. Of course, it would have been nice to pick it out and be the first one to sit in it as well.

Just checked Kerback, the largest Vette dealer who had their usual ~200 in stock a few weeks ago. Looks like it's down to ~100! Yep the OP might get one now as the discounts are 15% without a Loyalty rebate.

I recall when I bought my Grand Sport end winter in 2017 the discounts were more than that but the plant was closing for several months that Summer. The Kerbeck inventory declined and so did their discounts as they could not buy more!

Sure might find a loaded 3LT in some odd ball color a local dealer can't sell and get a deeper discount but wait to long and you won't get what you want!

Keep your eye on the Corvette Blogger website. GM is the puppeteer, and you can predictably connect the jump in incentives in March through now to the 9000+ corvettes in Inventory in February 2019, a 232 day supply. A point to ponder is, dealers be smilin, they been moving product like there is no tomorrow since the incentives started. now down to a 98 day supply; so the point to ponder is will GM feel comfortable with the way things are and 1. cut the discount, 2. keep things the way they are, or 3. increase the discount. Corvette plant is either now, or soon will be on a two week vacation shutdown, eg, a dead spot in production.

not a single white Z06 on your lot today Dave lol... and the only car i saw with black mirrors were two sold orders.. a red ZR and a yellow Z06... shocking.

Always look at your inventory as an indicator or what's going on with Vette sales, what's selling etc!

Since delivery of C8's probably won't start till near end year and if you don't put a $1000 holding money now expect won't be able to get one until this time this year, if then! Just my speculation!

Actually, Z06 in general. They've been tough to get as GM has been limiting their allocation. I've ordered a bunch of white but they go out as soon as they hit if not before! I've got more coming though!

I try not to look at their inventory very much Jerry. It will just get me in trouble with the bride all over again. Dad gum Corvette's are an addiction that I just can't break. One day at a time.
