I want power folding side mirrors
I only have a few inches extra room on each side of my C7 with the mirrors out when I pull in and out of my garage. As a result when I pull into the garage I gotta get out of my car, which is no easy task, and push in the passenger side mirror and then get back into my car using the sit down and move the legs method. When I pull out of the garage, I gotta do the same thing. I hope that the C8 has power folding mirrors as that would really be a useful piece of equipment.

Turns out the C6 mirror to mirror tip is 82 5/8 inches and the C7 is 85 inches or 2 3/8 inches wider. The wood frame on my 3 car garage door openings is 93.5 inches or 4.25 inches wider per side. NOT the problem I anticipated it might be BUT I keep this system installed
A "How To Build" for $20 is in this PDF: http://netwelding.com/Mirror_Proximity_Alarm.pdf
May not be a help to you BUT it occasionally sounds an alarm when backing out! I have it set to trip the 100 dB alarm 2 inches in from the passenger side about 8 inches before the mirror would hit the frame when backing out. When pulling in I can see the driver's mirror and typically have about 2 inch clearance from the left side. Works for me! The Grand Sport mirror to mirror distance is identical to the Base C7 and the rear fenders are still 7.6 inches narrower than the mirrors.

I have a similar situation but I've found that the mirror needs to clear the garage door opening in order to make sure the rear fender flair clears as well, especially now with my GS.
Never been a problem for me as I enter the garage slowly and have it down to an artform now

I have the same problem, but only pull the driver side mirror in. You might try that. You have more precise control on the driver side. You actually have more room on the passenger side than it appears. You also might try lining up the center of the car with a reference point (I have tiles on the floor) so you can center the car exactly by using the front cameras. Because, frankly, you are not getting foldable side mirrors in a Corvette. That's for Silverados.

I also have about 2" of clearance between the mirrors & garage on each side. I placed strips of blue painters tape inside the garage (epoxy floor), and painted a short blue line 4' outside. I use the front dual cameras as my guide to line up correctly...and it also allows me to precisely stop at the exact spot (critical in my garage with the other cars).

Same here, I have an inch on one side and an inch and a half on the other that is IF I get it right. Then have to angle the car to the right a bit so I can open the door enough without contacting the wall to get out. Backing out is even trickier and a couple of times the drivers side mirror has contacted the garage rubber seal. Life with a car closet, AKA townhouse single car garage. <sigh> Folding mirrors would be huge. I mean good.

The leaked option list for the C8 shows it as an option along with the other safety features.

Or you could learn to drive better! Like many with a 1960's era houses and single garage doors that are 93" of clear space from side to side, careful driving has gotten me in an out or my garage with cars as wide as the C7 (C6 & C5). 2" of clearance with the mirrors out is plenty if you are lined up correctly. My Jeep GC which is 92" mirror to mirror, which is a little more work without folding the mirrors in.
