Default Your sold C7 price

For a variety of reasons we sell our Corvettes. How much did you get for the sale price, the original MSRP, what you originally paid, year, and mileage? I had a 2017 Z51 coupe, 2LT: MSRP $70,465, paid new $52,485 Feb 2018 (before taxes & fees), sold to a GM dealer last week for $48,500. Mileage 2,200. Still had a loan on it so I was happy with the sale price and did not have to screw with joy riders and low ball offers and challenge of paying off the loan. Great car but never used it for a variety of reasons. Really didn't think I could get much more selling private?

Was it a straight sale or trade in? If you traded hard to evaluate the 2017 sale price without knowing all the details of the “deal”. If a stand alone sale...sounds like you did great!

I haven't sold mine yet but this is what I was offered by 3 dealerships. Its not the whole picture bc I was working a trade but nevertheless. My vette is a 2016, 1LT, Mag Ride, PDR, Nav, Z51 wheels and spolier, 25k miles. I bought it used in 2016 with 7k miles on it. MSRP was around 68k, I think my price before trade allowance was around 50k maybe 51k. Probably could of found a better deal but I couldn't help myself back then. It was my 1st vette and I had to have it. Lol

39k trade on a Z06

35k trade on a GS

37k trade on a Z06

2004 C5 coupe, loaded, purchased with <3k miles 12/2005 for $37,500. Sold to the dealer from whom I purchased my 2019 Z06 last month, 60k miles, $11,000.

Happy to take the trade-in offer to avoid the hassle of having to advertise/do a private sale to get another $1K or so out if it. So, roughly $2k/year over 13.5 years (not counting insurance, fuel, etc.). A heck of a deal for all the memories we made!

It was a straight sale. Didn't use the car as much as I thought. I was very pleased with the price of $48.5k.

I bought a used 16 Z51 for $49K a year ago. Traded in last week for $44.5K. I ended up with 3K in equity so I was pretty happy with that deal. And I came out of it with a lovely Z06. Win, win.

2016 Torch Red Z51 2LT A8 MagRide Kalahari interior w/suede inserts (No NAV or PDR)

Original Listing - https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...w-magride.html

Purchased 2/18 for 48K with 2300 miles and GMEPP Platinum warranty

Listed 4/22/19 for $45K and Sold for $44,000 with 7000 miles to a Dealer (Sold as in money in the bank sold in less than two hours of listing the car), The warranty was canceled and refunded to me. I listed it at what I valued the current market at based on cash offers from online outlets, KBB and good old research. Was planning to stick to my guns on what I considered an aggressive price, but time and hassle of tire kickers made it a no brainer for a grand difference! Plus it was an easy & quick instant cash deal.

I still haven't received the warranty refund, but my guess is the insurer isn't in a big hurry to give back or even pay out money.

I have nearly the same car as you did. I paid about the same and I have 2300 miles on it. I think you did well at $48,500. I think the C7’s are going to start dropping in value faster and more and more as the C8 comes out. But, all cars drop and the C8 will be no exception.
I might sell mine if I could get what you got but I’m having fun with it right now. I had a blast with it recently at Watkins Glen. What a machine!

A buddy of mine recently sold a 2015 C7 that had a MSRP of around $71,000 & he paid $61,000. I'm going on memory with those numbers, but I'm sure I'm pretty close. I don't know all the options he had, but I'm guessing it was 3LT with that MSRP. This past Spring he listed it on Auto Trader with no bites. IMO, he had it listed too high, as nice as it was. Less than 6000 miles, 7 speed, babied & he hardly drove it. Which was the reason he decided to sell.
He called me last week & said he ended up selling it back to the dealer he bought it from in Indianapolis for $44,000. He was OK with that & actually put his name on the list for a C8. He said he's not positive he'll actually buy one until he sees it in person & knows all the details. Knowing him, I'm pretty sure he will.

So funny. There's a thread in the for sale forum about C7s selling for mid 30s, and it's full of naysayers. "Not happening, you'll never get it for that, it'll be high mileage with problems," on and on. Then someone puts up a thread like this and everybody's like, "Yeah, I got 37k for mine" and "Happily traded it in for 35k."

Got my 17 C7 Base 1LT from Hendricks for $42,850. It had 2005 miles and 1 year on the books. Shame the front tires didn't hold up to the winter on the lot before I bought it. I didn't know the summer tires had a tendency to crack below freezing. I am still looking back at my baby every time I walk away from her after 1 year.

In the Collector Edition registry I track used sales of those cars as closely as I can. In some cases I get the actual sale price when it is reported. I have it represented as a % of the original MSRPs. Of course these are all Grand Sports with the 3LT trim package but it is intended to be some point of reference for folks. Most of the recent ones seem to be going for 25-35% of the original MSRP, I'd probably say most are really close to 30%

What is the link to the Collectors Edition Registry? 30% of MSRP is for how old of a Corvette?

GSCEs are all 2017's.

There is a link in the stickies section, this will take you to the post. There is a link to the google sheet that is the registry in my first post.

In there you will see a tab for used listings, switch to that tab.
