Question about Mag Ride Control update cost from dealer
So I went and spoke in person with my local Chevy dealer service writer about having the MRC update installed. Their top mechanic was standing next to the service writer and was totally aware of what was involved, as I spoke to the service writer and gave him the "part number" for the update. I had not yet brought the car in yet, I just went to see if they had any idea what I was asking them to do, since they only sell about 4 or 5 Corvettes a year.
So the service writer was clueless, thinking it was a TSB, but I informed him otherwise, and the head mechanic was standing next to the service writer and the mechanic new right away what I was talking about and filled in the service writer about what I was asking. The mechanic was totally aware of the MRC update.
BUT, I had asked/told them both there that GM set the price at $350 for the update, and they were replying that they would have to figure out the price when I bring in the car.
So what I am asking ....... is there somewhere I can reference the $350 price to show the dealer that $350 is the MSRP on this flash service ?
I want to bring something in print or bring something to show on the internet on a Chevy website to show the dealer, so I do not have pricing issues.
This dealer is just a few blocks from my home, probably less than a mile away, so I would like to use them for convince, since the closest "performance" dealer on Chevys web site is one hour away.
Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone have a reference for the $350 fee ?

No. Just wait for a quote from your Chevrolet dealer. If you don't like the price? Choose another Chevrolet dealer. No big deal. Dealers are free to charge what they want to.....

It’s a Chevy Parts Performance Upgrade, find a Chevy certified Performance dealer and your pain will be reduced. If you call it an update most will be confused.

I experienced the same confusion at my local stealership, I showed the service writer the memo from Chevy outlining the entire procedure and charges. I'm first told my vehicle was out of warranty, told the clueless writer I fully expected to pay for the upgrade. She disappears for a minute, comes back and tells me it would be $ 190.00, I agree, thinking they are doing me a favor to make up for previous mistreatment on their part. While waiting I am now informed she made a mistake, it would be $ 690.00. Told the dumb bitch to wipe her *** with the GM information printout and took my vehicle to Abel Chevrolet where RichieRich and his technicians provide quality Corvette service and maintenance.

Not from my experience. I took my car in (16 Z51 w/FE2 suspension) & the dealer ran a build print out to show me that the FE2 did not qualify for the upgrade. They could not tell me why though.

according to the matrix in this article as well as the pdf from Corvette Action Center, it shows 2016 FE2 is upgradeable. Maybe your dealer doesn't know what they are doing?

However, in defense of Ericm1949, the dealer I used told me it could not be upgraded. FYI, this is a BIG Corvette dealer, ranked in the top 10 in sales. They insisted it was not on the upgrade list. So I asked to see the list. There on the list was the description of my car. I showed it to the Service Rep who apologized, and told the mechanic to contact GM and begin the upgrade. Hey, they're human and they made a mistake, it happens.

Our 2017 Z51 has FE4 (Z51 with mag ride) and the computer upgrade was done over a year ago. As advertised, Tour and Sport became noticeably more compliant but Track didn't change. FE2 cars do get an upgrade to the Track setting also.
rvette/suspension
This link from Chevrolet Performance shows the FE2 upgrade as available.
The world of Chevrolet dealers includes some really sharp people, and some who don't know their *** from a hole in the ground.
