Looking to Put a Rim band on my black wheels to break up the all Black Look. Any suggestions on the best product out? Ive read some reviews of them coming off at High speeds! or is tape striping the best Bet?
I haven't put wheel stripes on my car, but I've heard good reviews from these folks. They will also send you samples so you can get the exact color you want.
Good luck! http://www.tapeworks.com/

Is tapeworks striping the same quality as Vettstripes (3M)
Stay away from Rim Blades. What you've heard about them coming off on the highway is true. I am speaking from experience. Go with 3M vinyl striping. It's safer and can easily be removed.

I had rim blades on my C6. They look nice but if you ever have to remove a tire, be prepared to buy a whole new set. I would not recommend them.
As mentioned above, the Tapeworks stipes work well and their little tool makes the install pretty easy. I have the red on my black wheels and it matches my red calipers perfectly. I did find it easier to install with the tire/rim off the car laying flat on the ground rather than the way they tell you to have someone spin the wheel on the car while lifted. Good mod at a resonable cost.
I have tried several types. Tape is easy and less expensive, but it doesn't protect the rims. I just installed the new model of Rim Blades. They went on easy and work great. Just be sure to follow the instructions to first clean the rims with alcohol, then rub on the adhesive accellerator (or something like that) and then put on the rim blades. It is very important to let them sit for at least 24 houes, 48 hours is better, to let the adhesive cure.

That did not work for me. I followed the instructions in detail. Hopefully you will have better results.
