Default Painted interior parts

Can someone help me please. Months back I read a post with pictures about someone painted their center console carbon flash and I am searching but cannot find it. Anyone have the post or know where it is? Thank you

I don't recall seeing that thread, however I would be very cautious painting the center console considering the risk of new paint chipping/peeling.

I had the center console painted on my ‘03 C5 and it never chipped or peeled in the 6+ years it was on the car. Unless there is something different about the C7 console (like different materials), I do not see why a properly prepped/painted console would not hold up very well. I am not a professional painter - just sharing the experience I had with my C5.

There are companies like RPI that do this for you. I'm sure it can be a DIY project as well.

I painted a '66 console to avoid replacing it. High traffic area, coffee cups, wife's jewelry, keys sitting on and banging against it, did't take any time at all before I was sorry I spent so much time properly preparing and painting it.

In my wasted youth I painted interior pieces all the time, having done so for a dealer when I was a real kid. It was never an issue. And, if I were even half as **** today I'd paint all the C7 interior "aluminum" crappola black and never give it a second thought. Paint what you want, how you want and don't look back! The beauty of paint is, of course, that it can be repaired if need be.
