Delayed start in hot weather
We live in Arizona and the afternoon temperatures in Summer can routinely exceed 100F. My wife has recently experienced a delayed start after her 2019 Stingray 2LT has been parked for over an hour. There are no starting problems at other times. Have others experienced similar issues and what was done to correct the problem?

Delayed cranking or delayed firing?

sounds like the battery is getting hot and probably needs changed out for a new one... preferably over 700 CCA battery

Is it cranking? If cranking it is not the battery. In extreme heat even fuel injected cars can see a bit of vapor lock which clears with a little cranking.

It is something else heck in Wichita is has nearly 100 for a week and my car has set for an hour in the sun no problems in starting the car !!!! Is the starter engaging but not enough to get the engine running or turning over but a fuel problem so more details are needed !!! The battery is covered up in the trunk area !!!!!! Wayne

My SLK had this issue - it was CPS - crank position sensor...this was back in the early 2000 when I had the SLK a common issue on all MB engines. just a thought
