Question about Ceramic Coating and clear bra
My first Post to this group. I just got a 2014 Stingray. It is in great condition with low mileage. It will be my every day car. I am planning some upgrades and will be doing a ceramic coating and I will also have a clear bra put on. I will be doing the ceramic myself. My question, do the ceramic before or after the clear bra install.? Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

^^^^ correct, 1 or 2 stage paint correction>PPF> Ceramic coating.. I decided to use/try Carpro Gliss instead of ceramic coating, it is a ceramic top coat that remains flexible and protects up to 12 months..

The guy who coated my car last weekend showed me a video as to why there is no point doing any paint correction before wrapping.
the car he showed was black and full of swirls, they laid down the PPF and bam, u couldn’t see a single swirl.
i could probably ask him to send me the video for those who want to challenge this but, I would never waste time or money correcting paint before it’s being wrapped ...

You're thinking of PPF and ceramic coating a 6 year old Vette?
What's the point after this amount of time?
It will likely cost you around $5k for PPF and you said you would do the ceramic coating yourself.
You will NEVER get that $5k back when you sell. It probably already has a few chips or scratches,
and a few more won't depreciate the value much further.
My advice, for what it's worth, is if you want to ceramic coat it, go ahead, but save your money
by not wrapping it.
I bought my '16 that the previous owner had professionally wrapped and coated to the tune of around $7k.
He only owned it for 6 months when I bought it. I'm glad he took the hit, as I never would have had this done
if I had to pay for it. Admittedly, my car has an unbelievable shine and super easy to keep clean, but that's
not worth $7k to me.
As of today, my '16 Spice Red has just 999 miles. I mainly just take it to shows.

You get the gist of it. His original video was 24 secs which is too big to load here but all those swirls were being hidden by the film, then as he peels it off they all appear....
