My wife and I went again this year and had a great time as usual. We like the drive from Soearfish Canyon to Custer but I still have not pulled the trigger on a C7.

We've done the BHCC three times over the last 15 years and enjoyed it every time, still haven't seen everything in the area.
Mt Rushmore is said to be getting a remodel on the visitor area soon, not sure how much of a bummer that will be.
From Spearfish we usually drive north to Medora, ND for a good dose of Teddy Roosevelt, Medora Musical, and pitchfork fondue. Slightly kitschy but we love it.

We always drive over into Montana, about fifty miles NW of Spearfish and eat Buffalo Burgers and Rocky Mountain Osters at the Stoneville Saloon in Alzada Montana.

All I can say is that it was a great event....again! The Hot Summer Nights event at the fairgrounds Wednesday night was a lot more than I expected, the vettes kept rolling in. I heard that there were nearly 500 vettes there and I don't doubt it. If you have never attended, its time to plan the trip and go, but - don't wait too long to get your motel reservations in.
