5,000 mile road trip
Wife and I just returned from a 5,000 mile road trip in our 2019 Grand Sport. Over two weeks we travel from Iowa to Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and back to Iowa. While in Wyoming we drove both the Bear Tooth and the Chief Joseph highways and then drove drove around Yellowstone for a few days. Had a Bison get close to the car a couple of times but nothing too close. In Montana we spent our days in Glacier National Park where we drove the Going to the Sun Road a few times. Almost 2,000 of the 5,000 miles were done with the top down. The car performed flawlessly, only issue we had was a tire needed replaced after driving over a fairly large screw in Colorado Springs. The run flat did it's job and I was able to get the tire replaced the next day. Glad in happened in Colorado Springs, not sure we would have found the tire or a shop that could have done the work in Cody Wy or Columbia Falls, MT. We was a little concerned about the limited trunk space but it worked just fine.
Didn't take many pictures on the car during the trip but here is one or my wife and the car at the top of Bear Tooth pass.
Love the speed limits and twisted roads in the Rocky Mountain states.

Road trips are what these cars are made for!

Your Corvette looks so good! Muscular yet elegant -- a fitting design for the last front-engined Vette!

Thank you for sharing, the picture gives the viewer a real Rocky Mountain "high."

There's nothing like a road trip in a Corvette.

Beautiful car and a great trip you had. Nothing like a nice long trip in a Vette.

Last trip in my GS convert only got 26 mpg like you.
The wider tires, air scoops, and areo stuff must make it harder to push.

Your assessment is spot on. My experience was much the same. I ran my run flats out of tire and had to re-shoe in Sioux City, IA, 180 miles form home.

I live in Kalispell Montana on the door step of Glacier Park and it does not get any better as far as scenery. I've done all those roads on my BMW 1200 GS and they are all awesome. ( if you don't hit a deer or a bear) . I just got my 2017 C7 Stingray manual ( mag ride) last August and have only put 4000 miles on it but one of the reasons I got it is because out in these parts once you get out of town you can really DRIVE it like you stole it. It would be almost impossible for me to have this car in a large metro area and fully enjoy it. Glad you got to see it all in a great car.
