Default I just joined the club and I'm staying forever! Pics...

I was 5 or 6 at a car show when I first felt the thump of a V8 in my chest coming out the side pipe of a red C2. And I'll never forget the first time I saw a C5. I was 9 years old and standing along the fence of the playground at my elementary school. It was a brand new 1997 in black, and I thought I'd never seen anything so beautiful. My whole life, I'd point and shout any time I saw a Corvette. It goes without saying: it's been a lifelong dream of mine to own a Vette.

Fast forward to this year when I heard the C8 would not be offered in a manual, I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger on a C7. I've been hunting for the perfect C7 for months and finally found it last week. I've been checking autotrader, cars.com, cargurus, and carmax twice and sometimes three times daily. Well last Friday, this beauty was posted sometime between breakfast and lunch. I called the dealer on my lunch break and told them to hold it for me. My wife and I drove 5 hours Friday after work, stayed in a hotel Friday night, and was driving home with my Corvette by 11AM Saturday morning.

Quick question: what's the best product and method for keeping the leather nice and supple? Does anyone use Chemical Guys products? And will any product help prevent the dreaded 3LT dash debonding? Thanks.

Enough text, time for pictures...

Not sure about the de-bonding thing but in all of our vehicles we use one of those accordion style sunshades when parked outside even if for only 20 minutes, when your use to putting them up and down we are talking 15 seconds......... can't hurt?

That’s my favorite color combo. Wish I could have found one in Cyber or Shark Gray, but I was too impatient.

My car is a 2014 3LT so I have the leather dash too. Up til now it still looks factory new. The only thing special I do, is not let it bake out in the sun. I do my damndest to make sure it is parked under a cover and when I can’t do that, I always use my sunshade.

Best of luck, welcome and congratulations!

17 with 3LT, I use damp micro fiber cloth. works great. If you want to use a product, I like Adams interior cleaner. leaves matte finish. does clean up with water though.
